My last trip to the RMV:
me: "How was I to know I needed to bring X document if you didn't write it in the letter you sent me indicating which items I should bring to the appointment?"

Returing to work full-time abrubptly after being on leave was excruciatingly painful-- working 9-5 in an office when it felt like my heart was ripped out and bleeding on the other side of town. (this was before ubiquitous zoom)

I think I would have been much happier during my leaves if I could have worked an increasing percentage of time as I was able (of course, and absolutely 100% parent-led). My brain craved the puzzles of work and my soul craved the community of colleagues.

I've taken 2 3 month parental leaves, and although I loved spending time with my infants, I deeply missed the satisfying parts of my work. Maybe this is our chance to rethink the all-or-nothing "take leave or work full-time" binary?

Yep! A certain percentage of the planes that fly into/out of Logan go over the Seaport. The height restrictions come from Massport.

Boston's Seaport is all uniform because of Massport's height restrictions, not zoning per se.
