Speaking of gliding, is there a formula for the arc you should make to minimize transition time to a certain angle of gliding and the tensive force you'd experience? There are other paramters I havent thought of to consider, but idk its interesting to think about.

tryp i wish i could like,,, project my dream into your head. the unbeatable boss was really buggy if you don't play it like it was showcased. if you jump around her, or hop on one of the buildings that had a small ledge you can stand on, she would attack the wall, clip through it, and game softlocks

the door, which is jammed. then a moment later, a duplicate of the woman appeared next to me inside the building, and her hand tried to grab me, but i dodged and the duplicate is also frozen. so i ended up just holding the duplicate model's hand like "ur my girlfriend now, this is our 1st date :]".

grabs you through a glass window on the door. but because i watched the showcase, i decided to be funny and try to backup out of range. her model clipped through the door, and it's frozen there, and suddenly the game is VR now. so i try interacting with her in the frozen state. then i try opening

when suddenly a woman in spy gear stands behind a chainlink fence blocking off a tight corridor. this is a bad guy who makes you go "oh fuck", idk why (but my dream is goated for this plot beat). so it turns into an unbeatable boss battle that you transition into by walking through a door and she--

the plot ive largely forgotten, but anyway, im walking through a desert base, and things turn into eyes, and cactus spikes grow longer?? like my character is hallucinating? later, when the player regroups with some friendly authority figure who's deeply injured, we're about to set off to base...

anyway, so i play the demo myself, and it was cool, there was like, a cia secret agency or whatever but all its soldiers were the same black guy 3d model, except for one who is a plot point. cant tell you what he did, but it was funny. some big bad alien's stuck on earth, tries to open a portal home

i was viewing this game through the lens of an in-person GDC. the speaker mentioned this talk/showcase was contributed by multiple people, but because of how much people added, formatting the accompanying paper version of the talk was really hard.

"Wtf r u doing with NTFS on loonix? Have you Gone deranged?" bro that's 2TB of the past 5 years of my life that was spent on windoze, and I don't have another drive to copy everything over to 😭😭😭

The only thing I can think of that caused it is that I had Godot open, and the script editor autosaves in 15s intervals, so maybeee doing file operations is what fucked me up?

The "world doesn't care about you" part heavily reminds me of Gothic and how it's still popular in Europe to this day, probably because of how the game's collectivist progression wildly differs from a lot of games today that put the player above the virtual society Naw, Gothic starts from the bottom
