The way his eyebrows try and do the worm killed me.

Also, it being deemed “unreleasable” by the original studio gives me so much hope.

I wanna laugh, but I had no idea he was in DBD.

@praiseshadows.bsky.social just sold me on it, coincidentally. Now there’s more reason to watch it.

So yeah, really excited for #absolutemartianmanhunter. A bleaker Inherent Vice, with a Project Blue Book spin. Cant wait to see where this goes.

But add on to that, it really comes off like an alien invasion story from the 60s. A mixture of Roswell and the Mothman Prophecies. Something I personally eat up all the time.

But outside of the art, I’m fascinated by the story. An already distant and troubled man suffering a traumatic event. We spent the book with this kinda person, trying to find some reasoning in the chaos of the universe. It’s truly fascinating.

There’s even a really fun gimmick towards the end of the book.

But there’s a lot of scenes that kinda make me uncomfortable. Possibly because it feels so throw away as well.

Loooll don’t get it twisted. I’m not mad at having to look at half naked gorgeous women(if that’s a problem I’m living a damn good life) it’s just, there’s something off about it. Like their objects rather than characters. Now say if it was a montage about how the players pull that’s one thing.

I hear ya. I’m almost done with season 2 and I’m just worried I’m not the guy for this show.

Like if bro was spitting banger joke after banger joke, I’d be cool with it, but I guess this shows sense of humor just isn’t hitting like LK did.

I get ya. I’m seeing potentially there, but outside of locker room scenes, and the relationship between miig and Sang, everyone really seems distant. Seems like they only come together to yell at each other and then disappear. And yeah Shoresy is a douche, but I guess it’s just he’s not funny rn.

Absolutely adore letterkenny so it hurts to say this. I’m pushing through because of it, but damn this ain’t it.

Credit where credit is due, this show is great at showing off hockey. It’s exciting, fun, and is when the shows drama or comedy is at its strongest. And LK’s amazing editing, especially with montages, bled over here, and it’s always great to see.

All I know about him is that he plays hockey and cheats. There’s a hurting romance between shoresy and a reporter, and I have NO IDEA why. They have barely any chemistry and I never see this character except for when she’s with shoresy.

There’s a strong chance I wouldn’t be thinking about this if I gave a shit about the people on this show. There is one character on this show who has an obscene amount of attractive exes and I do not get it and part of that is that he’s literally never on screen, except for this.

I’m by NO MEANS the expert on this, but I’m really bothered by how this show treats women. For the most part, it seems that they are just objects to be fucked. And again LK had a lot of horny women, but this is what I mean by a lack of community. I understood why they were like that in LK.

Also majority of the dialogue is annoying. It’s mostly repeating the same sentence 4 times in a row. I know LK would do this too, but it was typically for something funny, where this would be like “can you believe he wants tacos?” And you know what the next 30 seconds will be.

I love Jared Kesso, but holy shit is Shoresy is the worst. Don’t get me wrong, he’s got his moments but any scene without Hockey, he comes off like that douche bag in the group that thinks everything’s dumb. It’s not entertaining, I get that’s his character, but it needs something more.

There’s also just no sense of community, like what made LK very enduring. This plays into another problem I’ll go into in another post, but when there’s any “romance” or characters get some action, it has NO weight. There’s just so little time spent on relationships that it’s hard to care.

Comedy is subjective and all, but man, LK used to have a banger joke every 5 minutes? Where here I may laugh like 3 times a season. I know it’s trying to be more serious, but damn, it’s not nailing that either. I can barely remember anyone’s name, and a lot of them are really unlikable.
