@mathowie Musk described a really great product even as he broke the indestructible window and otherwise fucked up the demo. The truck he described would have been a great product but it's not the truck he built.
Then he went full Nazi in public and there just isn't any way to redeem this […]

@Nonilex So they're just snatching brown children who neither routinely carry around their identification nor know their rights.
"Unaccompanied minors" is just the cover story.

@RVLara23 I think it's possibly about not triggering people who have eating disorders or otherwise difficult relationships with food.
It feels like that should be a filter/mute situation if you know you have that vulnerability but it takes all kinds so I can't condemn anybody over it.

@RVLara23 I feel like everybody has a slightly different tolerance and no matter where you draw the line there are very loud people who will disagree.

@blueskyfanatic.bsky.social Yup. Nobody would apply the brakes early because they thought it was unseemly so here we are, accelerating downhill with everybody pretending to hope for the best.

@blueskyfanatic.bsky.social But the US doesn't have any declared enemies because that's Congress' job and they don't do it.
Attacking our elections and such wasn't enough to get Russia on the list because the cowards in office would rather win by cheating than lose honestly.

@Nonilex It was a really simply test and only AP passed.

@ai6yr Yeah because serving the public or employees is really not on-brand for the regime.

@GottaLaff Cali just needs to take it out of their federal tax bill and take care of it themselves.
California doesn't need to help feds who won't help California.

@GottaLaff So Biden had this option and we kept DeJoy anyway?

@GottaLaff What I'm not getting is why they can't just like their damn show and leave the rest of us out of it.
Why do they care whether their show is ranked first or second or 9 million and twentieth?
It's awful propaganda. I get that part too, I just don't understand the people who […]

@ai6yr Brush the hair.
Skip the makeup.
Stop overwashing yourself in general, your skin and hair need to be allowed to self regulate to some degree to stay in good health.

@GottaLaff It's just a show. Why does it have to turn into some weird tribal identity?
You either like the show or not, the relative ranking shouldn't really factor into a fandom.

@flexghost Teaching people to read can accidentally teach them also to think and the GOP is really hoping to put a stop to that.

@GottaLaff FEMA isn't something you can turn profitable unless it's just another insurance program.
It'll be a private agency until it goes under because of grift and lack of real marketability.

@bodhipaksa I'm not sure if the GOP is afraid of violence necessarily.
Trump keeps that violence focused on other people but it's not clear if the GOP only fears him or if they're fully on board with the project. I think they serve the same masters as he does and aren't likely to balk at a […]

@bodhipaksa I think Trump was needed to get a credible electoral win. Having done that, he's superfluous to the project.

@MJmusicinears Maybe the guy who gave himself a brain worm to force more favorable divorce terms shouldn't make health decisions for other people ever.

@bodhipaksa I'm still pretty sure he was a Trojan horse for a Vance (Read: Thiel/Musk) admin and they'll ditch him if he gets balky or bothersome.
It doesn't actually change much though, just the name on the desk.
I wish our "opposition" party weren't so invested in going *back*.

@GottaLaff We won't recover and I'm kinda pissed the media isn't just saying that outright.
It isn't *possible* for us to recover properly without community and service oriented support. Capitalism can't fill the gap or it always would have by way of the superior services and lower costs.

@ai6yr Thinking on this a minute, I think there's a major "be here now" component in that this makes it imperative to act on what you know now and skip the step where you project what you'll need a minute from now.
Now is pretty clear. Later is fuzzy. Tomorrow might never come at all.

@flexghost Bannon thought Trump was a true believer but he's mostly a leech attached to whomever offers him a paycheck.

@AkaSci The checks and balances are all compromised, the bad guys have the power to do anything that we don't literally stop them from doing.
I don't think we are so much in the stage of figuring out so much as committing to the answer that we don't like despite it being correct. General […]
