This is 100% the case in aviation. This career path runs in family lines, and there simply aren’t enough white male third generation pilots to staff the airlines unless you scrape the bottom of the barrel. alright you wanna know how to support trans people? hire them. It's REALLY hard already for visibly trans people to get jobs, even before this shit. Support places that have trans people working front of house, and make sure owners know that's part of why you're there.

Look, I know every single generation says the music was better when they were 18-22, but I miss when you could pay $15 and see a band you know at a ratty college bar. I think we lost something intangible but significant when it became too expensive for small bands to go on tour.
