Highly recommend any WWII-era anti-Nazi films on @criterion.bsky.social or elsewhere. They used to seem quaint but they hit different now. "Hangmen Also Die!" by Fritz Lang is a banger; the few "preachy" scenes are welcome! Preach!! Tell me how much you hate Nazis!!! Love it!!!!!

"Gulf of Mexico" sounds good because it is a trochee followed by a dactyl (which is almost like two trochees, really, but with a certain trailing sense of wonder in the final unstressed syllable; almost wave-like.) "Gulf of America" -- trochee followed by two iambs?!? Yuck. Ugly.
