To be sure, rough times are ahead. There will probably be many public battles in the courts & in the press. And people will get sick - and die - for no reason.
But today I'm drawing some hope from the millions of tiny, private acts of defiance that will take place behind closed exam room doors.

Dientamoeba has metabolic dependence (main criterion for “parasitism”)? If so, it is a parasite, never a commensal (“sharing the ecologicsl niche”). I guess you mean it is not pathogenic. Most parasites evolved to reduce pathogenesis and to optimize adaptation to their hosts.
