The girls know that when we cross the road they switch hands so I stay walking on the road side of the pavement. I was slow to move today so the 4-y-o told me that I need to be by the road because a car might hurt her but adults don’t mind being hit by cars.

The first draft of the eighth Slonský adventure is complete. Now to put it aside a few days until I forget the plot and can re-read it for editing without seeing what I want to see.

Nineteen years ago we went to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Each hearth was once a hut, each hut was once full. Prisoners were stripped naked before being shot at this wall so their uniforms would not be spoiled. This happened before I was born, but it must be remembered after I am gone.

New router set up today, so the rest of the morning will be occupied in connecting every device in the house to it including inputting the password at least 12 times, often using an onscreen keyboard and going up down left right.

Out for an evening of Medieval Baebes

We just had our carol walk in one of our parishes. The village is encouraged to have their lights up by tonight, then all who wish walk from the village hall round the village to the church, sing some carols, decorate the church tree, and walk together to the pub. Wonderful!

A very Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends. We can't be there this year, but we have happy memories of Thanksgiving meals with friends and family in Georgia.
