Also, our grades are too inflated, but the largest grading category is an A+ (10 points, 90-100, but all other grading categories besides F are 5 or fewer). Also, our grades are too inflated, but any student who is doing poorly just withdraws, since deadline is 3/4 through semester...

Also, several students tell me that professors have moved their finals from Week 16, when they're supposed to be, to Week 17, saying "you'll be so busy Week 16 that I'm doing you a favor," but some of my students have a MAJORITY of classes doing this, so it's just extending the semester.

pretty sure the math on my gaming has me saving money because basically anything else I'd do with the free time outside of watching streaming would be more expensive.

Partyworld's vegetarian options suck, so I always stop in Sogo's basement and buy a few boxes of takeout.

It's probably not concentrated enough for you, but I do about 200g of coffee grounds + 1L of coffee overnight at room temperature.

I got it! But next week I'm going to Texas where I might have to test the efficacy of my 40-year-old MMR vaccine :(

getting the appointment is easy - not spending a long time waiting for the number to be called is hard

I'll try again next year. Do you know if you have to go to your residence's district health center?

When I looked into this at both our neighborhood center and at NTU, it was only available without appointment for high risk or senior citizens, for both Covid shots and flu shots, but that was 2 years ago.

(This is a big US argument - some people use barbecue to mean the event, some use it for any cooking over an outdoor flame, and some get angry if you use it for anything but slow-cooking meat. It also has regional connections! I say people barbecue at 中秋節, which other people would say is wrong.)

Both are about online gender-based violence, an especially timely topic as generative AI allows for fake video, audio, and images to proliferate across the internet. Check them out - they deserve so many readers. medium.com/leap-voices-... medium.com/leap-voices-...

This year I did something I've wanted to do for a while and joined their team as a volunteer. It's through the 財團法人婦女權益促進發展基金會 / Foundation for Women's Rights, and the people are great. So excited to get more involved. Their two articles out last week are the first two I've helped edit.

sometimes when people say barbecue they mean a social gathering where people cook stuff outside on the grill - in this case I usually take dips for chips like guacamole or hummus

if you mean texas slow-cooked meat, since I'm vegetarian, I usually make smoky salsa or smoky roasted veggies (like eggplant) or rarely smoked fruit for dessert but really I only have one friend that likes to go to the trouble of doing it, so it doesn't come up often

Finished it up. Probably my least favorite in the genre, but I love the genre so that's not a terrible spot to be in. For once I don't know what I want to play next.

Speaking of 90s music, recently went to karaoke and put on "Semi-Charmed Kind of Life" and was shocked at the lyrics, cannot believe I was bopping along to that song as a child.

I like being here, but it's been a while since I've followed anyone new, which seems unsustainable.

4 bosses down and it's less different from others than I expected. Could be Dark Souls 2.5. Also a lot less jank than I had heard. Maybe there is more jank in my future. Or maybe the remaster dejanked it.
