There are places with a post. A candidate has to get xyz or there is a runoff. It doesn’t have to be 50%. we don’t have a post but maybe people for some reason call that first past the post? Seems confusing but I am sure you are right so thanks for that clarification.

Black and Tans. These were unemployed WWI vets/criminals from Great Britain that were sent to terrorize the Irish. I remember my grandma telling me stories about them. Her family had to bury the only expensive possession they had, silverware, under the outhouse. History repeats.
