As to religion, I hold it to be the indispensable duty of all government, to protect all conscientious professors thereof, and I know of no other business which government hath to do therewith. —THOMAS PAINE Common Sense 1776

Tariffs can be inflationary. Of that, there is no doubt. I don't believe that Trump is intending to use them for much more than a barging chip.
I am more interested in seeing in eliminating income tax and using tariffs to fund our Federal budget.

Why is Newsom trying to destroy the trucking industry? Dies he not know that truckers are the backbone of California?

He can't even fix the budget deficit problem. He needs to focus on that and homelessness before messing around with trying to protect illegal immigrants.

The mask studies have always, up to the point, covid-19 came on to the stage, said that masks were ineffective in preventing the spread of viruses. Even the covid-19 studies read like a child trying to explain why the homework assignment sucked so bad. It's not just rednecks that not buying it.

Part Two
The drugs were not at all as dangerous as they were made out to be, which, in my humble opinion, helped fuel distrust of the vaccine and pharmaceutical companies in general. Many of my anti-vax friends do not trust pharmaceutical companies now.

I wouldn't know about an "industry," but there was plenty of fear generated from both sides of the argument. There was one side completely against the vaccine, and those spreading fear about ivermectin and hydroxycloriqine. Both had an efficacy rating regardless of how dismal.

Good question. My daughter is 33 years old, immunizations are not on my mind anymore.
How about you? Are your children at the age that they are required to be immunized?

I believe mostly all of the childhood vaccinations have gone through that process. I'm not a big fan of RFK or his policies necessarily.
I have concerns about his positions about foods and crop yields if he is successful.

They usually go through the standard FDA process, I believe that is around 7-10 years. Trump pushed the vaccine through in record time, for which I was grateful, but that is far below normal.
My doctor was telling me that these drugs usually start showing negative side effects in 5-7 years.

Safe is typically defined as having a long-term track record. I was perfectly comfortable taking an experimental drug because of concerns about my health issues, though my doctor told me that I was healthy enough to not need the vaccine.
It should have been a choice not a mandate.

I'm not sure that anyone would care. Those who did have knowledge in that area were demonized as anti vaxxers even when they were pro vaccine, like myself.
If people say they are for science, they should be willing to look at all of the arguments to determine the truth as science has always done.

I won't say "cry more" but I will say that I warned several people with similar views about the untenable situation that Kamala Harris was in. Typically the VP runs on her Presidents record but the people were very angry about Bidens policies.
