Yeah, he definitely can. This is all on him. But I think Trump also knows that if he pulled the plug on Elon Elon would still be a major problem for Trump, blasting him on twitter, funding political enemies. He won't just disappear like every other former ally he decided to crush.

I remember learning Spanish & using novelas for (ridiculously entertaining) listening practice about 25 years ago. Verástegui was one of the regulars. If anyone had said that guy will be a Nazi touting *President* Donald Trump's death cult in 2025, I'd think they were crazy. Now I feel like *I* am.
