My understanding is that for a "new" station, curved platforms wouldn't be permitted at all, so you'd have to either significantly alter the layout or resite the station. Which may have advantages in constructing it without needing to close the current platforms.

There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes.

If you were doing that, I'd be willing to make the trip just to receive one.

That does make it harder and with the bridge linking them, I can't even argue that's not functionally true (regardless of how many people actually bother to walk across the bridge). It seems to be on the northbound the dashes don't stop, although there's no width between them and the rumble strip.

I'd suggest the distance is effectively negitive, having looked on a map. -177 metres would seem about right.

Weirdly, MiniUSB is more flimsy than MicroUSB. Yes, that's stupid and backwards. I had a phone with one, around 2007, it was aweful and the phone died because the mini-USB socket fell off the phone circuit board. I replaced it with an Android phone with microUSB.

A station, but maybe it's a bus station or a coach station!

I've not seen damaged from it, my understand was it should always be 5v unless there was successful negotiation. I guess the problem is mis-understood negotiation. I'm thinking the tablet might want 12v/15v or even 20v which isn't present on all chargers, even some higher current ones.

I'd guess it might be the 65W doesn't do the voltage the tablet wants, so it won't charge at all. Same votlage at lower current would allow charging, just slower, but the wrong voltage could block it working at all.

Nightmare connector, I have previously tried to find shells and a crimp tool for these and gave up in confusion over naming of it, making ebay search useless.

The first rule of Mac: if you can't find it in the GUI straight away, you'll need to use command line magic to do it. Unlike on Windows where 90% of the time there's an obscure hidden dialogue from an old GUI you can dig down to and avoid the command line.
