Seems like a good day to remind everyone that Auschwitz — a complex of over 40 concentration and extermination camps — was not located in Nazi Germany either.

20,000 in ruby red Utah on their feet, in community, and ready to organize for a better world. A better world is possible.

Spot the American. Is it someone who speaks his mind and does the work to get citizenship? Or is it someone born into citizenship who covers his face while abducting people in a Черный ворон?

Reactionary Post #4: I’m not waiting for Godot. I’m living, deliberately.

Reactionary Post #3: So no... I don’t accept the normalization of barbarism, brutalism, fascism, the hyper-volatile expressions of hatred nor the parades of pompousness. I write letters, protest, speak up, but basically I intend to outlive the last nihilists & mismanagers of the Living World.

Reactionary post #2: I never wanted to be rich or successful, a social influencer, famous, powerful, nor have I ever believed in privilege, exceptionalism, arrogance, entitlement, or superiority. No pride here. The common good is real, invaluable, and thus more than just good enough for me.

Reactionary post. I am just thinking: Go ahead and adopt, support, & promote AOC for Pres in 2028, show our cards now, go progressive, build the movement, recreate the Democratic party, truthfully, for the People, flip Congress in 2026, reject magical/wishful thinking. Manifest a livable society.

Strong moment from AOC’s speech in Utah

I can’t “quote” this. I do want to say, though, that I think this is beautiful! I can’t say why, only that is the case. Looking up through trees is astounding, and so much more admirable than little-men-politics and the delusions of “power.” No one gazes at power; we only gaze at beauty.

“Stay woke.” You are not weak and naive or helpless. Stay Woke!!!

A huge honor to get to write something with my hero @naomiaklein.bsky.social. We wish it was a happier topic, but it's an urgent one. We dove deep into the apocalyptic fervor of the far right to issue a warning about the rise of End Times Fascism. www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i...

"Our task is to build a wide and deep movement, as spiritual as it is political, strong enough to stop these unhinged traitors. A movement rooted in a steadfast commitment to one another, across our many differences and divides, and to this miraculous, singular planet.” —Klein & Taylor

“To all those who in their intractable intellectual immobility…we should shout: Do not be ashamed of becoming humble…so that we can stand up." —Jan Patočka, Czech philosopher, from “Reflection on Defeat,” written in 1938, republished in Living in Problematicity (2020, p. 30-31).

***new original comic*** So much gaslighting, it can make your head spin

Can we think in terms of a “physics of democracy?” Clearly, democracy is not linear.

"I swear to God, if you come for Ms. Rachel, as a mother of a two and half year old... you have to come through me." @franifio.bsky.social slams right-wing calls for AG Bondi to investigate YouTube children's star Ms. Rachel over expressing sympathy for Palestinian children.

This is quite strong. Do watch the entire TED talk (link below). Thank you Melissa for relaying this to/for us.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court will require the Trump administration to "facilitate" the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

Congratulations Mr.Trump: you are overseeing the worst and weakest administration of the U S government in our nation’s history. You are pursuing pure fantasy, and you are leading pure tragedy, while everyone around you, apparently, is saying all is well. But it is not. What will you do now?

Republicans just passed a budget that guts Medicaid, SNAP, veterans’ benefits, and free school lunches. They swore they'd fix the economy—but this sure as hell ain’t it.

This is clear, but just too clear, unfortunately.
