The only time Republicans add to the deficit and debt is when they are in office. Any office.

Plenty, I suppose. My info comes from someone with firsthand knowledge. I don’t think we need to speculate further.

It was the actual phone number of the songwriter’s ex-girlfriend, in a city in the Pacific Northwest. She was not amused.

No surprise. The AntiChrist needs to consolidate power, temporal and spiritual. This should delight the Christian Nationalists, for better or worse.

Of course you do. In your view, it seems that all those killed by Germany in World War II had it coming, because they provoked the Wehrmacht in their vigorous defense of the Fatherland.

6) Spin it as you will, the US did not green light the Russian invasion. Ukraine did not invade Russia. Russian imperial ambition and arrogance led to one of the most colossal Russian military blunders of the last century.

5) Trump's loss in 2020 was probably not seen as a great setback because Biden was discounted as being too enfeebled, both physically and politically. Ukraine was not seen as a difficult task and nobody would effectively resist. Of course, they underestimated Biden, NATO, and Ukraine.

4) The overconfidence bred greater arrogance. Seeing an opportunity in subversion of Donald Trump and the new tools using social media, Putin thought that the US and NATO could be neutralized, opening an opportunity to take Ukraine entirely.

3) The taking of Crimea was blatant territorial aggression aimed at securing the Black Sea for the expanding Russian ambitions and gambled on western Europe and the US being too preoccupied and weak to respond in a meaningful way. They weren't entirely wrong, but were overconfident.

2) With the collapse of the Soviet Union and the rise of the Russian oligarchy, a resurgent Russian imperial drive became more evident. Belorussia and Georgia were early targets for the rising aggression of Vladimir Putin, who saw himself in the mold of a new Stalin.

1) Mearsheimer has his views, but they are neither definitive nor convincing. Looking at the history of Ukraine over the past couple of hundred years, it is plain that tensions with Russia have deep roots, with the Russians taking the position that Ukraine should always be subservient.

So Biden supported the defense of Ukraine’s territory against an unprovoked act of aggression by Russia and somehow that makes the Russian demand for capitulation with American acquiescence justified? Does every victim of a crime deserve what they get, with special condemnation if they resist?

Ah. More evidence that every MAGA accusation is actually a confession.

It's their go-to cry when they lose, as believable as, "she said she was 18" or "I am not a crook"

Income tax? Introduced by Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War, when the slaver traitors were in open rebellion against the Constitution.

To clarify, it was the ACA that paid for it. Alas, she still can’t spell ACA.

This is Obama’s fault. I am sure it was how she paid for her cosmetic lobotomy.

Stoke that ego, Bill. You’re already well on the way to bending the knee. Don’t forget your ChapStick and kneepads.

I object to this characterization. It is an insult to all second-raters who work at KFI.

Money doesn't equal knowledge. Paul needed to start his own board to be certified. Buy what you can't earn.

The Great Leader undoubtedly wishes to retain his closest, most exciting memories for himself.

The Great Leader has once again identified the cause and placed the blame. Never let facts contradict his superior knowledge.

Surely, the bag should include a generous supply of lip balm, as well. Neither the Great Leader nor the supplicant should suffer from the application of chapped lips upon the noble person.

The Great Leader babbles and the slavish sycophants begin to echo his insanity.

True, but they would probably just take his committee assignments and look the other way on the ethics charges, rather than upset the Great Leader.

He was re-elected and will be sworn in with the rest of the new Congress. He’s lost nothing here.

It is a distraction. None of his appointees are expected to actually perform the assigned job; they are expected to carry out Project 2025 as instructed, to accomplish the dissolution of the American government, except as false front for our new oligarchy.
