Pity it wasn't the electric chair - they could have sent his hero Trump to hold his hand.

Otherwise known as "sharing their manifesto"

30p Lee really should be Pike, I mean he's made for the role.

Until you realise that 4 year old is actually Damien from the Omen!

Removing the subsidies from the fossil fuel industries and redirecting it to green transit options would be a good start. Probably wouldn't need to raise taxes to subsidise rail travel then. That way a carrot rather than a stick approach could be adopted.

I'm interested to see the Daily Mails stance on Farage now. The man has crawled so far up the orange felons arse that they are now indistinguishable.
comment in response to post
It does make me wonder if their support of Farage will begin to waiver considering how closely he has aligned himself to Trump.

I hope that Tesla can rid themselves of this creep. Whilst I agree with the boycott of the vehicles whilst he is still part of it, it needs to be remembered that the company was not founded by him neither was he responsible for the engineering of the original vehicles. Normal, sensible people were.

Probably working hard for his constituents in Clacton .......oh wait, turns out he's more likely kissing orange arse in America.

We all could learn a lot from the French.

Also if you were to replace every one of those bikes with a car it would be gridlocked. Here there's a natural movement and flow of the "traffic".

FFS he looks like he should be wearing a monocle and having Ray Alan's arm up his backside. Probably only a reference the older generation will get but Google Lord Charles/Ray Alan and you will see what I mean.

How about Mar-a-Lago? The mans intellect doesn't even stretch to moron.

If only science could eradicate the stupidly of voters the world wouldn't find itself in this mess.

It later went on to run Tesla.

I predict the sales of incredibly small violins are going to skyrocket.

Oh, and she crashed the economy!

She really is deranged.

Why not address the real problem? Rip off energy companies making huge profits and paying out obscene amounts of money to CEO's and shareholders? Privatisation now!
comment in response to post
Same here.

Exactly, they've become status symbols and presents a whole different problem requiring different solutions. I was thinking of the family, on average wage with the normal family hatchback.

Reform supporters are probably the same ones that were sending Tommy 10 names money for his legal fees so he could then go and plead guilty. They really don't understand/worry they are being conned so long as it they can wave their flags and be racist.
comment in response to post
I hope so as it's not only fairer but could be set up to encourage shorter/local journeys to be made using active travel. Pay more per mile up to say 5 miles and reduce cost down per mile for longer trips. That way you don't penalize the rural community. Obvs exemption for blue badge holders.

AHH, you got there before me! 😂

But their 7.5 tonne trucks still weigh 7.5 tonnes the same as ours. Roads are designed and built to take the weight of commercial vehicles above 30 tonnes. Whilst I agree about the size of passenger vehicles unnecessarily increasing over the years it's unlikely that they are causing the problem.

Not sure if the article mentioned it or not but he would have been uninsured - no insurance certificate therefore no vehicle excise duty (road tax). That would have been the case for all of those 49 years, maybe backdate it and charge him interest as a starting point for his punishment.

So ironic I believe Alanis Morrisette is considering legal action.

You missed one off the list; "because I once saw a cyclist run a red light they must all do it as well"

But remember Reform voters they are one of you and on your side. Men/women of the people!

I must admit the more I hear about the Scottish Government the more I want to cross the border. I guess it's not all roses but can't be worse.

Trump will probably try to deport her as an illegal immigrant.

Is this a case of SOME (not all) not wanting to take responsibility for their own situation? So when they are offered the chance to transfer that blame onto another part of society they will take it. Obv the right wing media/millionaires are only to happy to provide the scapegoats.
comment in response to post
They don't convince themselves the right wing media brainwashes them into it.

More likely President Musk.

Would I be correct in thinking that all the Irish millionaires haven't run away because of this? I ask as this is always the argument put forward whenever taxing the rich is suggested.

Meanwhile a report claims that the schools the Tory cabinet send/sent their kids too are sitting on over £100 million

Also, the 28000 retailers you. Mention "going bust" is misleading - they are facing financial hardship. Still not brilliant but it is lower than the same point last year when it was over 34000.

Really need to check your facts. She worked for the Bank of England for 6 years and in 2005 she was part of the Economic Analysis division and was credited in several reports. Not sure if your misinformation is deliberate or mistaken.

OK - for some it is a race but try to enjoy it anyway.
comment in response to post
It's not a race - enjoy the ride.

This is where a pay per mile road tax system combined with proper cycling infrastructure could work. Short distances that could be cycled charged higher per mile than longer distances. Obviously exemption for the less abled that can't cycle.

I wonder if this story will be covered by the right wing media?
