The purpose of Trump's deportation of suspected Tren de Aragua gang members is not to improve safety. It is too soften public opposition to lawless removal of people from the US. In 2024, Biden legally deported 3700 gang members including Tren members. He did it without violating a court order.

That we will not tame climate change will go down as one of the biggest human errors in history. Easily solvable with existing technology. electrek.co/2025/03/14/c...

EV technology is evolving rapidly. Driving experience is superior. The only perceived obstacle is range and charging times. The real obstacle is still cost. Greater adoption will address the latter. finance.yahoo.com/news/chinas-...

That's sweet. I'm sure Justice Roberts will post those words on his Vision Board while the MAGA House impeaches the first judge that President Trusk tweets they should. Then Schumer will support convicting along with the MAGA Senate, because that make it easier for vulnerable Dems in 2026.

The threat to democracy was the greatest issue in the campaign. Trump, like all autocrats, created fear over trans, inflation, immigrants to gain power. Dems communicate over, and over and a thousand times over, the harm of replacing the rule of law with the rule of Trump. Stand up to his fear.

I find it amazing how so many House Rs & now Senate Ds are afraid of hard votes. The positions hardest to take e are usually the right ones. Losing an election standing up for your constituents, your promises & beliefs is better than winning an election and cowering in the tough moments.

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN. ☎️: (202) 224-3121 Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid. The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING. Call retiring Senators too!

I marvel at the contortions Republicans go through to blame everyone but Trump for the his actions & his minions. He hires them, lets them run with hate & bigotry & ingorance. Then Rs grovel to Trump to stop it, but never call out Trump who endorsed their actions. Profiles in cowardice.

@schumer.senate.gov if this isn't enough for you to oppose ALL (including CR) Musk & Trump are doing to the federal government, what will be? He is saying the workers are responsible for the holocaust, to disgustingly smear fed workers to fire (prosecute?) them. www.thedailybeast.com/musk-boosts-...

This is a disgusting & disqualifying statement from Musk. To justify the reckless, illegal & irresponsible destruction of the fed government by insinuating fed works are worse than Hitler is shocking. The Twitter mob that endorses this is frightful. www.thedailybeast.com/musk-boosts-...

There’s a lot of well-earned schadenfreude at Tesla’s collapse but it also kind of sucks for all of us that the leading American EV company is risking its position like this. Not like the U.S. has a lot of room for error on the industrial side.

Most likely, because when the autocrats are in charge with their Twitter degreed cronies running the show they will suppress information. This is not something new. Anyone paying attention knows how this works (and his already happening) www.independent.co.uk/news/health/...

MAGA is illegally firing people, cancelling contracts & killing agencies. Senate Ds care about a shutdown when Rs control everything? Shutdowns are blamed on the party in power. Trump knows & is afraid of one. History will remember the appeasers when we (eventually?) get our democracy back.

A government adage is a corrupt person can defeat a good system & an honorable one can conquer a bad one. Our constitutional system tries to make the 1st part hard but can't be impossible. Trump is the impossibility with his cruelty & misanthropy. So honorable people have to stand up.

Enacting unfounded tariffs on Canada and threatening to annex the country is not a tariff war it is the precursor to ACTUAL war. Who had that on their 2025 insane-things-Trump-will-do-that-Republicans-will-never-confront-him-over bingo card?

What Musk is doing to the federal workforce is hateful and likely illegal. This vandalism helps no one.

It's hard to find leaders you can point to in government as role models for you kids these days. Who knew a pardon attorney in the Justice Department would fill the void?

Dear @cnn.com Here's the proper edit to your headline. "How Trump's crazy policies drove the US economy from booming to recession in 20 days." By the way, how often did you describe the US economy as booming when Joe Biden was president? www.cnn.com/2025/03/11/b...

Polygraphs are notoriously unreliable which is why they are almost never admissible in criminal cases. This is just a tool to terrorize.

So I guess Trump being in the middle of the x-axis reflects the fact that he is simultaneously exceptionally evil and exceptionally stupid?

Reminder: When a person or institution you hate is targeted for illiberal persecution by an aspiring authoritarian, you have to defend them EVEN IF you don't like them. It doesn't matter if you don't like campus protestors or Columbia or the law firms. We must defend them or we're all at risk next.

While the Trump Regime is targeting lawyers for conducting themselves ethically, other lawyers are seeking to profiteer by aiding in Trump's assault on the rule of law, as I discussed here.

The White House, not even DHS, the White House itself apparently, is directly deciding which permanent residents should be detained and deported based on their political speech. If this doesn’t scare you about the state of our democracy and liberties, I don’t know what will.

Inaccurate: ‘Apocalypse at USAID’ as Musk and Trump work to dismantle agency Accurate: 'Coup at USAID' as Musk and Trump work to illegally shutter agency. www.cnn.com/2025/02/03/p...

Here's an idea for some publications. Tell the stories of the leaders and civil servants in the government. Most civil servants are some of the most talented, dedicated, professional & efficient workers in the country. That's what government attracts: people who want to do good for the country.

USAID wasn't run by radical lunatics until Elon Musk illegally took charge of the agency.

In musk’s view he bought the US government for $300 million and now he gets to whatever he wants with it while Trump plays golf and starts trade wars.

“The Trump administration and its allies moved to tighten control of the U.S. Agency for International Development over the weekend” More accurate: The Trump and his coup plotters illegally barred government workers from USAID offices. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

There’s currently an illegal overtaking of the US government. What if in another country we would call a coup.

The DEI caused the plane crash narrative is a distraction. The tariffs are a distraction. Whatever insane nonsense Trump spews that the media will chase like cats chasing a laser light is a distraction. The only story that counts right now is the wholesale hijacking of control of the US government.

How is Elon Musk still CEO of Tesla? He is playing at government but with all the seriousness of Thoth weighing the souls of agencies while he's got his army of sycophant cultists manipulating the scales.

Threatening to kill an entire agency, labeling it criminal? What Republican will stand up to this insanity. Trump has lost control of his toy Musk. As hard as it may be, courage must be found within these agencies to stand up to these bully-bro, morons. thehill.com/homenews/adm...

If you voted for Donald Trump you own the coup taking place, replacing our democratic, civil institutions with racist, megalomaniac Elon Musk institutions. You own an insane assault on Canada. Yes, Canada. And they will come for you too.

An unelected billionaire is disassembling the administrative state while a demagogic former reality show host blames minorities for disasters, signs papers on television, purges potential opponents, and solicits protection payments from media companies and oligarchs. Happening right in front of us.

Yes. There’s a reason Congress is Article I. Congress can stop the abuses.and the people must give Congress the message that autocracy will not rule. It is not Trump’s or Musk’s government. It is the people’s.

Not a perfect analogy, but in one sense I think DeepSeek may be the solar power of computing: relatively cheap, relatively simple, and effective--and thus a huge threat to the people making huge money from the status quo. OpenAI and Meta as Exxon and Chevron.

Perhaps the DeepSeek news will bring some rationality to the AI Data Center, electricity demand boom. If this leads to carbon free generation, fine. But if the tide turns to fossil generation under the Trump admin, the climate crisis will worsen a lot. Some calming of exuberance can only help.
