Yep, that's all it would take. A handful of each. Those eight would change the course of history.
But they won't since they'd have to give up their little bit of power (which is an illusion anyway, since in reality they'll just vote however Donald wants them to).

If Donald brings one back, he'll be expected to bring more back. That's good if you're a fan of the rule of law, but would be pretty annoying if you're a wannabe dictator.
Apparently 200 people have been sent so far.

Did all of the other media corporations refuse to give Donald the attention he craves in solidarity with AP? 🤔
No.

It's always helpful when he says it out loud.
People will still act surprised though.

I disagree about the "soon". So far Donald hasn't really faced any opposition. Things are proceeding without the need to use the military. Critic detained. People deported without due process
I can see a Tiananmen Square-like moment in 2027-2028 though, once it becomes clear he's not leaving power.

Amazon: Paid $40m for a documentary (apparently Melania gets $28 million from that $40m)💰
Disney: Paid $15m to settle Donald's lawsuit against ABC 💰
WB: What can we do? 🤔

Donald had the most pathetic peace plan, giving Russia what they wanted (Ukraine not joining NATO, etc). Voted with Russia at the UN. Putin was like: 🤷♂️. He didn't even give Donald a few crumbs that his cult could use to claim victory. Just contempt for him. Putin (and Xi) can see how weak he is.

😂
At least that explains why Donald is so wrong, so consistently.

The election wasn't rigged. Donald lost.
Russia invaded Ukraine. Ukraine didn't allow it. Their bravery in resisting the invasion this long is remarkable.
It's still *wild* that anyone reads Donald's posts without laughing.

Alabama voted for Donald.

Defending Putin again.
Someone should remind the confused old fool that he's president and the war is happening now. The one he promised to stop in 24 hours.

So yields are flying higher and they're *not* selling yet? That seems bad.

They're saying it out loud. They always do. Hence the lack of "lame duck" talk.
Donald gets the nomination in 2028 unopposed.
He'll dare SCOTUS to remove him. That should be 9-0 but Donald has $1bn of pro bono legal work promised to him. So it won't be.
Then dial the voter suppression up to 11.

It makes sense once you recognize how much Donald craves attention. It's a large part of why the media loves him. He gives them 24/7 insanity (content) and they give him attention. When has Donald been out of the headlines? President Biden would go for years without even having one scandal 🥱

Also, in an emergency you generally don't pause for three months 🤔
But Donald only has these powers if it *is* an emergency, so that's what they're going with.

Yep, that'll ramp up next year (critics, opponents etc). It always starts with one. Right now he's seeing if he can.

Another one.
The problem is Donald knows he's immune. He knows he won't face any consequences, for any of this. He learned that.

It's funny that Donald's cult think he's holding *any* cards by this point. He folded on most tariffs within 24 hours. His exemptions came after two days. China's seen his repeated extensions of the TikTok ban so they know that's not happening either.
Donald will still declare victory though 😂

He hasn't lost Fox though.
Thinking about it ... has there been a single day in the last three months Donald hasn't been in the headlines 🤔? The media is certainly getting their money's worth. Can see why they backed him.

I thought the exemptions would be Monday. But as far as I'm aware, he hasn't lied about having a call with Xi (yet) 🤔

comment in response to

I recall that was Pete Buttigieg's theory. Since Congress won't be taking their power back, Donald alone has the power to remove tariffs for select industries/companies. That's a huge amount of money (since - spoiler alert - tariffs are not paid by China). So they have to go and please him.

It's like the farcical TikTok ban.
Putting aside the fact Donald can't just extend the deadline for a ban/sale (since he has done that regardless and nobody minds) he says to China: sell it or we ban it.
China: 🤷♂️
Donald: Fine. I'll extend it. Sell it!
China: 🤷♂️
Donald: Fine. I'll extend it.

Tim Apple donated $1m to Donald's inaugural committee. I'm sure all those payments have been carefully tracked and spent wisely.

Oh, that's why. That makes more sense.
I saw the headline and thought it was so Fox "news" could show daily shots of the military patrolling the border. Reassuring their viewers that the (imagined) problem is solved. Donald is protecting them. The (non-existent) invasion has been defeated.

I think so. He wants absolute power. Control of the Fed is one of the few things left on the list.
Given Donald's grasp of economics there's a decent chance he just prints $30tn to pay off the debt. His cult will praise his brilliance.

Seems like yet another example of Donald's petty and pathetic retribution against his imagined enemies.

Exactly. It seems fast now because it's near the end, but it's been a process starting in 2016. Donald seeing what he can get away with. Seeing if there are any consequences. Since the answer has been no, it kept on going.

I guess they know there won't be any consequences for not complying.
If a 9-0 (!) SCOTUS ruling isn't sufficient, nothing will be.
comment in response to

Once one did, he was going after the rest.
I'd guess much of that will go on the legal campaign to hold on to power after 2028. He'll get the nomination unopposed, but it'll cost quite a bit going through the legal process to get that approved.
When he loses, that'll cost a lot to reject too.
