“If you think fertilized eggs are people but parents who've crossed oceans with their kids aren't, stop pretending your concerns are religious.”

Farewell, America. We barely knew you.

The Trump Administration is breaking the law. Period. Never stop showing this. They are not “implementing unpopular policies” or “auditing the government.” They are breaking the law and ignoring the courts.

people say “just stop doomscrolling” like we’re not literally live-streaming the series finale of american democracy

This.

Living through the downfall of our republic was most definitely not on my bucket list.

Pam Bondi being sworn in as head of the DOJ by Clarence Thomas is a peak mockery of justice.

Remember when a single senator, Tommy Tuberville, held up ALL military promotions for months and months, despite sustained opposition even from some of his Republican colleagues? We need EVERY DEMOCRATIC SENATOR doing EVERYTHING THEY CAN to slow down and stop this administration.

Feel this one in my bones

And in other nightmares…

And the NYT fails again with this headline - making it seem as though Musk isn’t literally hijacking the government. Mainstream media fails the moment and adds to the chaos of disinformation.

I was one of those warning how bad it would be and how Trump 2 would be much worse than anyone complacently assumed. But even I didn’t have ‘cancel all foreign aid, including to kids with HIV & malaria’ and also ‘let the world’s richest man get access to our private data’ on my 2025 bingo card.

Where are the Dems?

We’re gonna have to march.

A constitutional crisis requires friction to make it legible. That often comes from conflict between the branches of government, but a Republican-controlled Congress and SCOTUS are not interested in challenging Trump’s lawlessness. That why it’s *especially* important for Democrats to act.

So if I’m understanding today correctly, the world’s richest person Elon Musk, whom no one elected, is taking over federal payment systems and employee data while the federal employees who investigate and prosecute public corruption are being fired en masse.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world. Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

Here’s the egg section at my local grocery store yesterday. Eggs are cheaper under Trump because they are now unavailable. Or is it a bird flu issue the government isn’t allowed to talk about?

Just to say it: Diversity is a good thing. Equity is a good thing. Inclusion is a good thing. Accessibility is a good thing.

i think it is important to say that the open and explicit racism of the president and the vice president isn’t just uncouth or “controversial” but a direct attack on tens of millions of americans and a dereliction of their duty to represent the entire country

No empathy for the loss of human life, but plenty of (ridiculous, untruthful)blame

Would love to understand why every Democrat is not out there every second of the day explaining in plain English that Donald Trump has declared war on cancer patients.

Allow me to address the elephant in the room: The Trump administration is not setting the course for a four-year term. The Trump administration is setting the course for an everlasting dictatorship. Are we all clear on this?

We need people to find their backbones and stand on their own. And fast.

No foreign power has ever posed as massive and immediate a threat to the United States as the current administration.

The most common question I receive is how everyday citizens can help in the fight for democracy. My advice, take the first step, start with something small and see what works for you. Here are ten things all of us can do. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/10-t...

I’ll never get over that all of this was avoidable and our kids could’ve had a better future had voters just made the obviously rational choice in November. It’s water under the bridge now. But what the fuck, people.
