Everyone that claims DEI from this administration should be required to produce their qualifications for their position or else the interview should end.

Unless these videos were entered into the official record, we should be aiming our disgust and frustration to the Democrats who, once again, are failing to fight at the level required to win.

I showed my kid this "expanding Medicare to home care services." She stared at me, waiting for me to explain wtf I was talking about. We live in a "they want to murder your grandmother" world, man. Progressives talk over the head of the vast majority of the electorate constantly.

This comment section is a near-perfect snapshot of where we are as a society.

I mean, we could also just stop paying attention to Nate Silver. Like, at all. Why pretend his content or opinions are relevant?

Agreed, but a quick thought exercise: Pretend there's an opposing progressive conference. You field the 35 most influential er whatever progressive speakers. Does anyone recognize more than 5 or 6? This is the problem.

That's a great point re: tipping asks when there's no service. Feels like we're subsidizing companies unwilling to pay a decent wage to their employees. I'm trying to be more intentional about what I endorse with my dollars and that's a good place to cut back and not feel bad about it haha.

I think you mean, *tried* to jump the shark, but drastically overestimated their conviction and plopped unceremoniously into the middle of the shark pool to join the other invertebrates.

I wish more people took this approach! We don't *have* to watch, buy, or otherwise engage with any ms media. In fact, that goes for priced-gouged products as well. We need to fight economically.

I think the general idea is the definition of platform has changed (it's now personality-driven podcasts and influencers) and the right is WAY ahead of progressives. The recent Wired article www.wired.com/story/visual... shows it pretty well.
