IIRC cats were domesticated first before dogs. Cheetahs because the preferred animal to hunt with in Africa because they could keep up. Also because they were cute af.

Fun fact! They had no fight choreographer. The director literally told the actors to fight, make it realistic, and this person is supposed to win.
That's why all the fight scenes look like people desperately trying not to hurt each other.
