I'll continue by importing the sequel to that thread. In terms of Nintendo, the original Wii was the master of meaningful UI. The playfulness (遊び心) was present with the typeface choice, music, etc., but the main factor in the success of Wii's UI is its "familiarity" and Japanese flavour. (1/6)
