True, but calling them out and being right about it, isn't going to change anything. That's the essence of the poem. Just ask the people of Ukraine or Gaza.

I think that's the red flag all of us should notice. The people having genuine concerns, about not making ends meet. The far right hijacking that concern and molding it to blame on a specific group, rather then confronting the actual issue. When does one realise 🤔?

Oddly Martin Niemöller a priest never mentioned Jews in his original lecture. He mentioned communists, socialists and trade unionists. The poem was derived from his lecture martin-niemoeller-stiftung.de/martin-niemo...

Bought and still own the movie, believe he was a consultant and producer on it. Most trustworthy science fiction I've ever seen.

De tip die ik zou willen meegeven, administreer je financiën net als toen je nog schulden had. Dan zie je wat er overblijft en dus óók wat je minimaal nodig hebt om rond te komen en laat jezelf marge. Dan komt de ontspanning vanzelf.

It's my first and presumably only visit, so I'm doing a 3 week tour. Tokio, Mount Fuji, Matsumoto, Takayama, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Osaka. Mostly want to soak up the history, culture and landscape. Currently discovering and selecting what I want to see at each stopover..

However I don't consider my opinion better than anyone else's, or there being one point of view. Just me being surprised at such a decision, especially with a country as unique as Japan. And your right the US West of the Mississipi is something else...

Seems wasteful is an expression of my point of view. As my intent on travel is and has always been discovery. Could say the same about Europeans travelling to Turkey, Egypt and so on, to stay in an all inclusive and spend their time on a beach all day. I don't get it 🤷🏼‍♂️ it would bore me to death ..
