Moved this so I could start work

It's friday! Time for the weekly good news thread. What's your good news from the week? Big or small, what's made you smile or brought some bright spots into the world for you?

Take Me to the Place I Love by @illusclaire.bsky.social The 11th issue of A Pocket Chiller. In cities both real and not-real, an affair winds across two worlds and back again. A dark adult fantasy of desirability. Get it digitally and in print at linktr.ee/apocketchiller

Rainlight Cope Aesthetic Page 365, the final page.

Add to the list: Bill's been listening to Merzbow loud enough for me to hear.

Working From Home During Half-Term: - The internet is worse - Every time I walk into the kitchen it's a new kind of terrible mess. - My family get to hear the existential guttural sighs I make reverberate around the house whenever I'm trying to get something boring done.

I turned off updates from TftQ months ago, which felt like a positive move, except now whenever anything kicks off I've got to work harder to makes sense of what's happening.

Rainlight Cope Aesthetic Page 363. Two pages for yet another idiot-fold comic, which was supposed to be a quick thing to do and get done but has already cost my hours and hours, but mostly of tidying up and desperate laundry after I got ink everywhere.

Have sat down today to finally finish this, and the prototype looks *great*. Except I've learnt a few things about how idiot-fold comics work since making it... and there are significant things which don't quite work. So I think I'm going to have to rebuild a bunch of it :(

sketchbook stuff

Caught myself in a meeting literally pretending to smoke a cigarette, with a pen as a proxy. I've not smoked for... 16 years? but the desire to light up over the past few weeks has been incredibly powerful.

I just think this is a neat little thing

And colours!

Sad realisation that even though I'm like 70% male pattern bald now I still need to cut what's left of my hair every couple of months.

Filled out an arts application last night, which included my website, which reminded me I've not updated the fecking thing for over a year now.

Has anyone else heard those strange and unsettling noises coming from #CroydonSpaceport? Apparently, they're working on a VERY SPECIAL PROJECT for later this year... Make sure you're up to speed with the story so far by grabbing a Croydon Spaceport Mega Fun Pack at bit.ly/croydonmegafun

Finally saw Presence. The central idea of having the film from the perspective of a ghost is great. The first half is cool, but there's too much plot for it to be a great film, sadly.

It's largely my fault for introducing Bill to The Paper Chase but I've had to leave my mic on mute during work call while he's in the house becasue he wonders around singing this at the top of his lungs youtu.be/qkwKiVNtB-I?...
