Fake news, Jerry!

E.U., Poland, U.K., Croatia, Germany, Sweden, and so on. So many world leaders condemning the horrific attack by Russia on civilians. But I see one “leader” is missing…

I would need to see him picking his nose to be sure if that’s him.

The SCOTUS also ruled that African Americans were not US citizens, that Japanese US citizens could be rounded up into concentration camps, and that public schools can be segregated by race. SCOTUS has made many mistakes.

Running the government like a business is probably the worst idea in the history of humankind. It leads inevitably to dystopia.

Goal of business: maximize profits this quarter. That’s it. Period. Goal of government: protect the people, from toxic environment, from violent criminals, from Wall Street swindlers, from earthquakes/tornadoes/hurricanes/wild-fires, from pandemics, from homelessness, and a thousand other things.

We will have to bring our birth certificate and/or passport, and proof of address, in order to vote (our Constitutional right). But guns are available like water in our society.

Nor should you. If aliens abducted him today, does anyone think things will go back to the way they were, 20/40/100 years ago? The way forward must look very different from the path we have been on. This is a dead end. We need change.

I have opposite. I find hidden bags of stash, and am like, “WHO’S SMOKING THIS IN MY HOUSE?!”, and they remind me it’s mine.

There’s 3 kinds of chips: AI, that we absolutely must get control of, and everything else.

Once again, the ones attacking MAGA are not The Libs, but right-wing nutcases who are more-MAGA-than-MAGA.

Yes. Unelected government officials should decide what jobs are appropriate for each person, and assign their jobs appropriately. That is how free-market capitalism works. Wait, no, that’s how authoritarian dictatorship works. The apartheid illegal alien is going to get his feelings hurt.

I don’t believe in “karma.” But I do believe in cause-and-effect. And if this vaccine denier were to catch a fatal disease, I would simply note that it is cause-and-effect.

Talk about FAKE NEWS.

Yes, MAGA House is going to impeach him, and MAGA Senate will convict. And Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are going to dance a jig with the Tooth Fairy.

Only his billionaire buddies have access to that information. The rest of us have no idea.

Hit Amazon as hard as Tesla has been hit.
comment in response to post
Remember when Amazon drove mom-and-pop independent book stores out of business? They would not have censored anti-Trump books. This is another danger of ever-consolidating corporate power. Society becomes vulnerable to the whims of billionaires, who have their own agenda.

Ignoring politics didn’t save them from the consequences of those politics in 1938. Back here in 2025, maybe they are not trans, but they may fall afoul of the government for some other reason. I stand with trans people.

I listened to Judge Xinis’ hearing today. She said the government said that Garcia is in El Salvador. The lawyer for DOJ, Drew Ensign, interrupted her and said that DOJ did not say that, and they do not know where he is. She clarified, “do you know where he is?”, and he again denied it.

Oh goody! We can get the people who loved all the hate, chaos, corruption, and incompetence of Trump, but were disappointed when it affected THEM personally. No thanks. I don’t want them anywhere near my team.

Requiring a $130 passport to vote, is a return to poll taxes. It is intended to disenfranchise a certain group of voters. We will not go back to the 1850s quietly.

Damaging both to the Salvadoran government, and the US government. Won’t be surprised by a, “whoopsie, he fell out a 10-story window, our bad, oh well!” announcement.

They are talking about making money on the stock market, that day. Schwab is sitting and talking with the president, the person who made the announcement that made the market skyrocket. Sherlock Holmes, where are you?
comment in response to post
Just thinking it through: how does turmp know Schwab personally made $2.5 billion, and the other billionaire made $900 million, that day? There would have to be a conversation, where Schwab says, “I made $2.5 billion today” to the president, who is sitting nearby.
comment in response to post
Still.
comment in response to post
When Trump says, “Here’s Charles Schwab, he made $2.5 billion today being at the White House,” and the entire market was crashing massively most of the day, why is that evidence that Trump gave insider information to a billionaire contributer?

You know who will have absolutely no trouble voting? White, wealthy males, who can afford passports, and never had to change their name. (That includes me.)

THIS is what the 3 liberal SCOTUS judges wanted to avoid. The lower appeals court had already set a deadline for his return. Now that SCOTUS has gotten involved, his return is in eternal limbo. This will drag on for months.
comment in response to post
Update: Today (Fri) the appeals court judge held her hearing, and the DOJ claimed to have no knowledge where Garcia is, no knowledge of any steps that have been taken to return him, and said they require a week to think about how to respond to the SCOTUS, before they even choose their next step.
comment in response to post
On the other hand, if you have already written the conclusion of the final report, and only need to manufacture some fake data to support it, a few months is reasonable.
