@ariatheroyal before I went to buy parts it’s probably worth trying to cold pull the nozzle (if it’s possible on that design) and tearing down a bit to look for clogs or heat creep. Cleaning your extruder drive gears would probably not hurt either.

@daihard I have a Salsa Fargo that gets basically all my bike path miles now because my roadie just isn’t as fun to ride at a social pace. Upright, steel, 48mm supple tires from reneherse…It’s a pleasure cruise.

@swift GtS definitely has a stronger focus on consent and privacy. The defaults are better, it has excellent features like block list subscriptions, and they’re pushing for things like reply controls and other features that will improve the

@dfyx paramount3d does but frankly, though their colors are beautiful, I don’t love their PLA. I find it to be very brittle. It would work for a one-off small project though. https://www.paramount-3d.com/pla

Printed out a test block. The thread ribs on their default settings feel perfect. The bridged overhangs worked well even with the thread ribs screwing with the geometry a bit. The teardrop shape worked but didn’t come out as clean as the bridged roof which […] [Original post on gts.amd.im]

@rrmutt PLA is terrible about mechanical creep. Some nylons (PA6) are too. Try the same experiment with PETG or ASA and you’ll have better results.

@reiver a cname would make a lot of sense and isn’t any harder to set up than the `did` process already is.
