Instead of buying a console, my Dad bought me a copy of Bleem! for the Windows 98. It was so bad lol. I wish I could express just how messed up the games I tried on it were. All the sound effects in FF7 were just *wrong*. Entering a fight sounded like dial up successfully connected with hell.

Well I WAS going to keep playing some PS1 games in my backlog. But I ran out of blocks on my old memory cards lol. Opps.

What a scam. $10 more for a Switch 2 "port" and it comes on a card key. What possible reason could there be for the Switch 2 version to cost more. Is Nintendo just gouging every 3rd party on this or something? PS5 is just the normal price and will almost certainly run better.

I played this last year and it was really compelling. DLC sounds super exciting, so almost certainly a snap buy next week.

Sick. I still feel the compulsion to buy the original though. But assuming this is done well enough, it'd be great to have it available on modern platforms.

Of course its a limited print run and no limits on individual purchases. LRG really is just the most feel bad of the physical media focused publishers. A million reasons to suck and the "limited run" is the worst.

My recent batch of retro games have been a great trip down nostalgia lane, so grabbed some sequels to Jak, Sly and RE that I also never played. Still want Silent Hill 1, but need to hold off on the impulse buys for a bit.

Absolutely loving my first playthrough of the original Resident Evil. Remake changed enough, that the original felt pretty fresh. Finished Jill's campaign already and about half way through a Chris playthrough. Think I'm going to get a copy of RE2 and try to finish the original PS1 trilogy.

As much as I would probably love a remaster of Tales of the Abyss, I'm still pulling for either a game that never got localized, or possibly a 3d remake of one of the earlier 2d games. Definitely not holding my breath for the later, as that's a ton of work.

OKAY! PSOne is fixed, I think. The old spindle absolutely shattered when I replaced it. Broke to pieces with an amount of force that didn't even move the center part. Basically had to tear it apart before it budged. Had a ton of anxiety doing so, but getting the new one on was a lot easier.

Summer Game Fest was pretty good set of trailers. A little weird to see so many Genshin-adjacent games. But had a decent mix of things. Capcom seems like they're going to have a killer 2026. Especially excited for RE9. More determined to give the OG trilogy on PS1 a playthrough now.

Second session of Sly Cooper last night, and I think it might be my favorite PS2 era platformer. Real close to Ratchet and Clank, at the least. Its also the one I never played before. Sad that we don't get these kind of games very often anymore, at least from Sony.
