One thing I just noticed after almost 1.5 years after release. The stairs on the lake in The Will of Arthur Flabbington have a shadow for the handrail. But I never actually drew the handrail.

It's been a while since I saw someone play TWoAF live

I'm amazed by the amount of people who admit they never understood how to play Minesweeper.

A movie you’ve watched more than six times, using only GIFs

I can't be the only one who thinks Edward Hopper's paintings would make great adventure game backgrounds

What if I told you that I'm playing around with a concept that is NOT an adventure game? Would you forgive me?

I often say this is a Second Golden Age for the genre. And not only because I'm part of it 🤥 but really, if you loved the genre 30 years ago you'll find A LOT for your tastes from the last 10 years. Starting from The Will of Arthur Flabbington, of course

We finished it this weekend, my daughters loved it. Highly recommended.

Remember the AI/plagiarism book on adventure games? PDF copies have been sent in September, but physical rewards are still nowhere to be seen. In December they made an update blaming the printing service for the delay and it's been two months without updates. Backers are starting to feel scammed 🙄

My daughter loves cemeteries (I wonder who she got it from) so we went for a walk and visited one nearby. We found a grave whose epitaph was half missing. The letters had fallen, so we spent some time putting them back on the stone. I've never felt so close to being in a real life adventure game.

Imagine you took a photo of an event, and news reporters paid for that photo. That photo ends up being in every news article about that event. However years later you find out that your photo has been used as the cover of a book about similar events. Do you have any claims on copyright? 🤔

Coming from Unity, Godot is very very confusing. But Unity was very very confusing when I came from Adventure Game Studio, so I might be able to overcome it 💪

Another point&click Friday!

Playing videogames with your kids is fun and all until you remember that screen time is the first thing that gets sacrificed when they misbehave

We are delighted tp announce that the demo for Adventures of a Cat in Space will be released English with German, French, Spanish and Italian subtitles! 😍 Huge thanks to @thewarlocs.bsky.social and @gugames.eu for their amazing work on the localisation!

I wonder why Steam keeps tagging my game as Action and Simulation 🤨 Unless they refer to Farty Party, which could be action, sure, but if you think it's simulation, please see a doctor. store.steampowered.com/app/2174720/...

I asked my daughter which adventure game she wants to play with me next. She said "The hidings of Hilly Wonders". I think she meant "The mystery of Wooley Mountain" by @lightfootbrosgames.bsky.social, or she knows more about adventure games than I do 😆

Every 4th Friday of the month our chess club hosts an evening where anyone can come and play using our sets & clocks. Today we hit an all time peak with 17 participants. When we started 1y ago, 5 guests was already a lot. I just wanted to share this small joy.

Today, I'm your #PointNClickFriday host! I'm still working on the retro adventure game Temple of the Three Rules! Please, ❤️ Like 🔄 Reskeet 📝 Comment with your games you're working or have worked on I'll share and like your adventure games! 👉 Demo: ramoramainteractive.itch.io/temple-of-th...

Before TWoAF I released a short, free adventure game made in 14 days. It was my first fully voiced game and it got first place in Adventure Jam 2023 among 300+ entries. A few months later a AAA game with the same name got announced, I'll pretend this was their inspiration. gugames.itch.io/wicked

Sure, I love the sound of stepping on crunchy leaves. I just didn't expect to be able to hear it every time I bend my knee.

I was looking for a book on Amazon yesterday and fell into a rabbit hole of AI generated covers. Now, if a cover has blatant mistakes like these, who tells me that the book itself isn't also AI generated?

If you think that's too much, don't worry, #indiegames will keep their incredible quality/price ratio 😁

We need more guys like this tbh 👁️👁️

Today I felt like picking up the bass after ages and record the intro to one of the most fun songs I can play, Cygnus X-1 book II by Rush. It wasn't perfect, but it was fun. I'd upload the video here, but it's too long, so - sigh - you can find it on Twitter x.com/gugames_eu/s...

New year, new me. It's finally time to check Popochiu. @carenalga.bsky.social #popochiu #indiegamedev #indiedev #adventuregame #pointandclick #godot

14 years ago my wife and I left our hometown for Switzerland with nothing but an unpaid guest student contract and lots of hope. It's been a crazy adventure that I'd love to tell someday.
