Not all ufo groups. You’re talking about people who chose to stay on x.

It's going to be complicated. The US is a permanent UN Security Council member and can veto anything against its interests. It has spent decades making sure it's the most influential country in the world. Other blocs are just now realizing that's a problem now that it's gone rogue.

At this point it's obvious everything that comes from musk's tweets is just propaganda & delirium. Useful article nonetheless.

It is such a well-written show. Oh, and that soundtrack! There's a spin-off series, Elsbeth, which I haven’t watched yet.

I totally agree. I wasn't aware of the open source aspect of the project, nor that it could be re-purposed to then generate content. I understand now :)

I was just saying the tech is not inherently bad, and it's very useful to detect illegal or undesirable content. The alternative is humans moderators having to deal with all that stuff, which we can all agree is not good for them, nor scalable.

The platform allows NSFW content. I think we'd all prefer that an algorithm weed out the bad stuff rather than actual humans who'd have to be exposed to it all day, every day.

Without the right tools, it's impossible to protect the platform from bad actors using the latest AI tech to flood social networks with garbage. You need good robots to fight bad robots. 🤷‍♂️

Machine learning algorithms for content safety aren’t the same as generative AI. It looks like they want to use AI to help detect harmful content, but I didn’t see anything about training generative models on users’ content.

It seems the UI bug was fixed, ignore the first sentence above.

I think Bluesky’s notifications say “someone replied to you” when it’s a reply further down the thread. I agree with you. AOC mentioned dems are too predictable as they always follow long-standing rules. And the energy they bring to the fight is underwhelming.

In essence I guess we agree these are worrying times.

I don’t understand why you’re not seeing what I’m seeing. There’s no doubt in my mind that what’s happening now is fascism. You’re right about that. I also don’t believe it’s just an opinion. I’ll leave it at that, but I invite you to research fascism. Hopefully you’ll understand what I’m saying.

Don't take it as a personal attack against you* is what I meant. I am not trying to be hostile toward you.

There are tons of videos where Thiel and his associates explain their game plan. I can share them if that helps. One thing I can guarantee: when people ignore fascism as it starts to grab power, then wait even longer, by the time they can't deny it anymore, it’s too late to stop it.

Are Thiel & Burchett plotting *together* to destroy the US? It doesn't really matter in substance. They both have certain goals that, in the short term at least, require the same steps. Anti-DEI aka supremacism, IS scapegoating. Thiel wants a technocracy, Burchett is at war with the "deep state".

Every small step CAN be justified and explained away if that's what you choose, and that's why you need to step back, look at History and what's unfolding. Take any list of the steps to fascism, however old it is, and compare it to what's happening right now: www.keene.edu/academics/cc...

Don't take it personally, but it's not about being convinced, if you don't want to see, you will not see. Every single time fascism rose to power, some people, often the future targets themselves, would choose not to see, call it cognitive dissonance or something else.

I agree. I had a manager once who was just like trump in many ways (old, grandiose, extremely toxic & grudge-driven). I know that they would oftenorder people to go for the simplest way (in their non-techy mind) to achieve nuclear results. It's also public data than can be analysed by researchers.

I think the entire game plan is well documented and on paper. CNN story: edition.cnn.com/2024/08/15/p... Hidden camera interviews (Micah Meadowcroft and Russell Vough):

Phase 2 is documented, hopefully the actual plan leaks. Even though the direction is quite obvious already, having the exact blueprint would be useful.

Too little, too late. He is in the top 3 of people responsible for what’s happening. What a disgusting human being.
