The Charleston one starts at 9 am Saturday, at Hampton Park. (Indivisible has a permit.)

I'd think ten thirty was fine. (Only, I don't really have neighbors, so my guess doesn't count for much.)

I said: "Someone posted a picture of a page in the book she's reading, and now I want that book." My husband, frowning: "Hmm. That's a bit like posting a picture of your food." Flawed, lovely comment.

My daughter's TWH did that about once a week from 18 months to 2 yrs. She was practicing switching between a running walk and a trot, and she'd get her legs tangled and fall. (I saw her trot, jump up with all fours and switch front legs in the air, come down, continue at a "rack.") Never got hurt.

Also, before they come, make chicken wire collars for all trees you intend to keep alive. My daughter rented a lovely group of goats (with one donkey friend) to eat her invasive ivy. They did that, and then they started taking the bark off her trees. (She was watching, and all trees survived.)

Agreed, he's cool. But the girl is stunning, perfect. And look how happy she looks - she totally trusts both him and herself!

It's there. Go to the Senator's page and you should find it. (I follow him, so it was on my timeline.)

It is back right now, though.

I like your work and suspect you are one of the good guys. But please consider the implications of calling any animal "it."

Please urge your senators to protect USFWS's charter and to reject Nesvik as Director, USFWS. The Center for Biological Diversity makes it fast/easy: act.biologicaldiversity.org/s5S3R04to0S0...? (This horrifying incident was under Nesvik’s watch in WY: coloradosun.com/2024/04/16/d...) #birds 🌎

The Council on Environmental Quality wants to roll back nearly 50 years of regulations that have been issued to implement NEPA. We need to fight back! Public comment is open until March 27. Audubon makes it fast/easy/free to let them know your opinion: act.audubon.org/a/nepa-2025 #birds 🌎

My horse is on Prascend, which is pergolide, for PPID. This is South Carolina, so she's already shedding masses of hair every day. The birds love it - and it never occurred to me that it might be bad for them. I doubt it, but will have to find out. Thanks for the post!

Try the Follow Your Heart Vegenaise that is made with grapeseed oil. It tastes great, plus you don't end up paying for hens being mistreated etc. (They were bought in 2021, too, but at least by a company that is keeping them going.)

One of their "cousins" is a Live Oak, Quercus virginiana, that's already three years old and doing well. It will hopefully outlive Trump by quite a few centuries.
