Good thread. How you value your time; Perceptions of others about how much time is necessary to produce something; Hobby enjoyment vs generating income. All important issues.

I’m calling this finished….for now. My 95th Rifles Officer, 1/72 scale.

Busy modelling day chez Gunthwaite yesterday: eldest Grandson painting green creatures; youngest making a sofa with cats; and me finishing my 30th Regiment of Foot…

I was very content on my bus ride into Huddersfield this morning as every gent had a flat cap (mine was in me pocket)

Lots of people noting the anniversary of Dreadnought's launch today, and with its ability to outpace anything that threatened it, the big gun armament, and its thick wooden walls- Wait, what?

Just deactivated the twitter malarkey (just my Gunthwaite account - not the whole of twitter, regrettably). It feels satisfying…

Proper modelling…

Brilliant! I gave youngest Grandson the Airfix Coldstream Guardsman for Christmas. I also bought myself a bundle of Historex kits - vowing to finish a British Light Dragoon I started more than 30 years ago.

Next up is finishing these two. They’ve been on the to-be-finished shelf for too long. I love WW2 fast boats 😊 #HistScaleModels

An interesting feature above the Gents urinals in my hotel…

Right, so I promised this tentatively yesterday, and I must be quick because I'm on a deadline but prepare yourselves for the majesty of the BLACKBURN BLACKBURN and why I consider it to be an example of beautiful elegance No, really #NavalHistory #NavalAviation

Interesting morning on the archery field - shooting straight into the low sun made aiming guesswork…
