Ah, now, I'm going away for a few days and I'm taking some figures, a tube of black and a tube of white paint...

I seem to have accumulated a number of Flyhawk kits - plus additional 3D printed stuff to add to them. I need to gerron an mek on.

Great work Ken. I admit I have been collecting 1/700 ships to make...only started one so far: the old Matchbox HMS Kelly which is being made as a practice run for the Flyhawk bells & whistles Kelly.

I’m enjoying a break from making figures - painting for pleasure, as it should be. And at some point I need to delve into the stash of kits and make something (or even finish a project started umpteen years ago)

That's great work Tim!

Brilliant - and with a very effective seascape.

Happy Birthday! I have some Pistoleers undercoated and ready to go. They were undercoated when I was painting figures for my son more than 25 years ago. If I get around to these it will be painting them with my grandsons.

Haha! I still have 3 bottles in the garage.

The only Avenger kit I made was the Airfix one (proper kits). My Dad was well made up because he had worked on Avengers.

I have a few boxes of the Multipose Figures in the loft - and a tin of spare Airfix & Historex bits. And I’m sure I have the Airfix Manual on a shelf somewhere.
comment in response to post
Just think - what if Airfix had produced Napoleonic figures within the 1/32 Multipose range? I suspect they were committed to the Collectors Range to compete with Historex.

The Beverley Arms in Beverley. It was unexpected.

And Grandad’s view it was the “Dart” was the most inappropriately named aircraft ever…it neither looked not performed like a dart, but it had other qualities…

Info not to hand re unit, but I believe the photo was taken at Sealand, Chester.

Excellent thread! My Grandad…

I got dates wrong…I thought it was yesterday. I’ve been mulling popping over to day but unfortunately work gets in the way. Have a good time.

We’ve resumed after a break of 30 years. We kept all of our old kit, but neither of us could shoot it. Buying lower poundage limbs wasn’t an option, so it’s been new bows or us!

Haha! My Granddaughter is yet not old enough…

Not only am I usually buying for myself, I now have two Grandsons in tow...

Ordinarily I would potter along to this (wherever it was - Halifax/Huddersfield/back to Halifax), but unfortunately this year I am away on Jollies. And probably with a bit more cash in my bank account for not going.

Like the roof rack!

And that Micromaster print looks sweet!

If you can get hold of them there are Coastal Craft bits and pieces. I also have the Eduard etch set for the Revell Vosper (some bits can be used). There was also the Master range of brass weapons inc. Vickers K guns and Oerlikon barrels.
comment in response to post
I have "a few" Vosper in the loft. I'm looking forward to see if Airfix have cleaned up the moulds. I've only built the bridge and mast so far... It would be good to see one built using available upgrades.

Great stuff! Regarding Coastal Craft, I know Martin (Mr Coastal Craft) was at the IPMS Bolton show last year (Bolton 2025 is this coming weekend).I understand he indicated that he would be attending the “odd show”. However I don’t know whether that’s happened.

Great work! I have a number of Vospers in the stash and over time I’ve collected various detailing bits - including a 6pdr for a MkIi. I’ve only got as far as building the bridge (as a base for photographing my figures).

I have "a few" in the loft. Hopefully Airfix will have cleaned up the moulds for the re-release.
