Exactly! I remember as a child singing the words to the song “Trust and obey, for there’s no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.” Explains a lot.

THANK YOU, SENATOR BOOKER! I can't believe you are still going! Thank you so much for doing everything you can to push back against those who are actively attacking our democracy.

I am both angry and ashamed at what this administration is doing to our allies - and especially to Canada! I love your country. My grandparents were born in Newfoundland. Hit us as hard as you can because it may be the only way out of this mess.

I also wonder how my own mother can’t recognize what’s happening after living through the 1930’s and 1940’s. She’s still pretty sharp mentally, but I can’t talk with her about anything political because she only believes Fox News and the right-wing pastors she watches on tv. It’s so frustrating.

At our house we watched a disaster movie (Greenland) instead of the inaugural disaster at noon today. I still cannot believe this is our reality.

When I was deep into evangelical world, I always wondered who those "Christmas and Easter services only" people were. I had no idea that many of them might have been just like me, gently putting their feet back in the water, hoping it was safe.

It's like watching the first third of a disaster movie. All the characters go about their business as usual, but because you've seen disaster movies before, you know what's coming. Your blood pressure begins rising even before the bad stuff begins. I'll be entering 2025 peeking through my fingers.

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your dad. That sick icky dreadful feeling may be your new normal for quite some time. Just take one day at a time, and if that's too much for right now, just focus on the next hour. It's hard. Really, really hard, but you will get through this. 💔

There’s a 10% chance I might have continued watching if they had conducted a hard-hitting interview and aired it this week, but they didn’t. I am 100% done with them. Christmas music has taken their place in the mornings.

Still working through the stages of grief here. I realized today that the 2026 World Cup and 2028 Olympics will happen here and America’s 250th will be in 2026. I just broke down and cried. He is not worthy to represent us at these events. Tomorrow I’ll be ready to fight, but today I weep.
