There will still be jobs in the future (the powers that be will still want you to earn money so they can sell you things). AI's main job will be to sit on your work computer and spy on you all the time and report back to your boss about how you are doing your job.

There should always be opposition to the leaders of your country. They are hired by the general public. The opposition is there to make sure they are doing a good job. Even if you voted for them you should want opposition to ensure they are doing the work in the interest of the nation.

I think the smart thing would have been to invest in manufacturing first, start building that infrastructure, then start with tariffs. Making it expensive to buy from China is pointless if you're not set up to start manufacturing elsewhere.

Twitter has much more bad stuff but it does have more good stuff. Bluesky has no bad stuff but there is less funny stuff. Or I'm just not seeing the good stuff.
