Keep it simple. He's shown himself to be a craven coward. Terrified of loosing an "ally" who's corrupt and even more cowardly. Like the old Old Guard Dems, he's turned coward.

...again, who will do the arresting? The Executive typically executes that function. The Judicial doesn't have the practical ability to arrest and jail anyone. Congress doesn't have the practical ability to arrest and jail anyone.
If the first thing is "arrest," well... :-(

Would love to hear from that outrageous "liberal" mainstream media everyone keeps talking about but never seems to actually show up anywhere...

Every single clinic needs to post a sign "Clinic closed due to Presidential order denying funding."
Or more pointed if they're feeling spicy.

Emotionally, I absolutely agree with you. But Right-Wing has spent DECADES smearing the left as weak, soft on crime, anti-American, cowardly.
Loath as I am to say, taking a stand would have been at least as bad, if not worse, "proving" the left as soft, and "pro" terrorism. Bullshit, but it works.

I SERIOUSLY doubt they're working with it on air-gapped off-network equipment. They're probably arrogant enough to think *their* networks are perfectly safe, *they* have the best people and equipment.
So, yeah, all that info is on the dark web and in hostile countries already.

Honestly? Yeah. There was no winning move there. Either 'support' Israel's atrocities/war crimes or 'support' the Hamas atrocities/war crimes.
*POSSIBLY* a better way to thread the needle than Biden did, but as far as binary choices? Bad and Bad.

If he had he'd have been attacked at least as badly and probably more for:
-Not supporting Israel
-Being soft on Terrorism
-Being weak in the Middle East
-Antisemitism
And probably much more.
This would have extended to the Dems, broadening the right wing "weakness" smears. A Kobayashi Maru.

Maybe the ones who *TRULY* believed it are actually ashamed or embarrassed now.
The ones who were performative who probably never would have voted for her anyway are doubling down on how right they were, and it's better the country collapse then they bend on their righteous stance. It's twisted.

It's the MAGA equivalent of the Zeno's Arrow Paradox.
They get closer and closer and closer, and will never quite truly whole-heartedly get it.

Respectable enough.
But I don't see how he's not gonna be fired in less than a week after publicly defying President Petty.

To hell with Biden being too old, the Dem senior leadership should have stepped down at the beginning of his term back in 2020/2021 to let young blood grow.
But they were too scared to let the young'uns make mistakes. So they stayed. And hoped the old rules would apply again. And here we are.

Honestly? Dem leadership is old and afraid. They've *been* old and afraid for more than a decade. They stand up briefly, then almost immediately sit down in the hopes that the old rules will start to apply after their momentary outrage. So the bullies push further and further each time.

I don't mean to sound confrontational or rude, but... Have you seen the SCOTUS lately? They gave him his rubber stamp even before he won the election.
SCOTUS ain't going to reign this in.

In 3 years, assuming a free & fair election still happens, you can bet your sweet bippy they'll trot out not just all the horse hocky they threw last year, but add "she couldn't beat Trump, how can she win now?!?"
I did and will vote for her, don't get me wrong, but American inattention is real.

By who? They're doing this with the support of the Executive. The Boss, or more specifically the minions he's put in charge, say it's fine, and looks like they're firing folks who stand up.
Congress doesn't care enough to do anything.
And the Supremes have basically said all's fair.

The problem with "When they go low we go high" is if there are no PENALTIES for going low, no BENEFIT for them to change to the high road, they'll just keep digging lower and lower.
And here we are, and they're containing to dig daily.
Nope, no tolerance for Nazi bullshit.

I mean, that's probably what a good chunk of the billionaire class wants. USSR's collapse gave Russian Oligarchs a chance to really go wild. Can you imagine what the Tech Bros will get up to if/when the fractures happen?
Dem Russki boys are gonna be so *jealous!*

Integrity DOES matter.
But allowing one's integrity to be twisted, violations tolerated, just gives permission for the unscrupulous to continue to push. Tolerance of small violations of norms have lead to bigger violations.
And here we are.
IOW, as wiser men have said; "Nazi Punks Fuck Off"

"misconduct" really, REALLY undersells it. It's bad. So heart breaking and infuriating.
