This was the only thing I knew about Pelé as a kid, and then a few years later I was like, "I think he was in a movie, too"

Maybe he found Jordan Peterson's arguments compelling

I really enjoyed the Red Barry collection, sad that the second volume never came out

I didn't bother to rate it, but I did enjoy it and found it very informative. I haven't seen most of the films under discussion so it makes a good primer.

This arc was my introduction to Kang. I loved everything about it including the parallel world cold opening/fakeout.

I sought out COLLEGE RHYTHM on Rarefilmm after stumbling across this number on YouTube. The rest of the movie is just as much fun. youtu.be/I-VhC4Zzhxs

My understanding is that LXG began as an original script wirh a similar concept, and the producers licensed the comic to protect themselves from infringement claims and/or to take advantage of known IP.

When I started with it a few years ago I thought the gamification was a clever way to encourage practicing, but I never spent any money on it and I could make meaningful choices of what to focus on. When they revamped and it became totally linear I got bored. I was just spinning my wheels so I quit.

La Casa Que Arde de Noche ("The House That Burns at Night"), about a power struggle in a brothel, is the most interesting of the four, thematically and stylistically, possibly because it was adapted from a novel rather than an exploitation premise.

It only has to keep existing long enough for me to unload it on the next sucker--er, investor.

I am so fucking mad that knowing what /pol/, GamerGate, and the Dark Enlightenment are makes me genuinely informed on the policy making decisions of the federal government. These people weren't supposed to leave the computer!

That feels unusually current for the Oscars

I was (pleasantly) surprised by how much THE PEOPLE'S JOKER remixed DC comics/movie lore, how thoroughly it really is a fan film. Not that I thought Drew was a fake fan or anything like that, I think I just imagined it mostly riffing on JOKER, as well as being more coy about playing with DC's IP.

The difference is that at the end of the day my mom did actually end up with a bunch of Pampered Chef kitchen accessories that she still uses to this day, while crypto leaves you with a jpg of a dolphin wearing a hat

I seem to be on the lower end of ratings for it, so perhaps I just wasn't in the right mood for it.
