oh the helicopter mums in the backgrounds cheering them on are the worst.
They just came to our door and I am like let them do it themselves???
Its so awkward, I could have never ðŸ˜

yeah right?
I love the "horror", having that one spooky movie you rewatch every year and seeing horror art on all your socials but I really struggle opening the door for kids.
Its not their fault, they aren't awful and I am not a scourge that wishes the fun away
I just struggle with the interaction

As someone whos been suffering sleeping issues since birth I am very sorry to hear!
Nothing can blow outs one day more than not having slept properly or at all.
I cant promise this helps but I generally listen to a show/podcast/stream whenever I struggle.
Helps me relax and eventually sleep often!

If you like linear why not give Hellblade a try? Both are excellent, the second is beyond amazing.
Theyre very short and interactive movies with great combat scenes and puzzles!
Can also recommend Bramble: The mountain king, same lenght. Beautiful world, characters and story!

Winter Soldier is mine.
Incredibly tragic, sad and destructive.
Hes an awesome character with an AMAZING arc. Especially in the movies!
Cant wait for the upcoming movie!

Of course!
Its always lovely to meet other 40k fans that arent here to endlessly grift over the setting for their own political reasons.
Be it the luck of meeting people on Bluesky but I love when people just enjoy stories, enjoy art.
Its something you dont see often anymore.

The other actually is an audioplay but just as rich in quality as the others.
"The Watcher in the rain"
I dont even want to give a synopsis here, but just urge you to listen.
Its honestly a story id give anyone to before they get into 40k.
It might even come close to Night Lords for me.

I can throw two more at you that REALLY set the tone of 40k for me.
14h by Mitchell Scanlon made my cry my eyes out.
It follows young guard conscripts on their first deployment.
Thats all I really have to say, its "All quiet on the western front" but in 40k.
I read it in one go, awesome book.

ANYWAY SORRY FOR YAPPING SO MUCH LMAO I love Warhammer 40K very much and think about its themes a lot (obv) I would love to read Decimus’ undoubtedly tragic fall but maybe you could write it! :0 I write fanfic for a different fandom but I’ve always wanted to write 40K stuff too ^_^ (fin)

would see an end to the story real soon.
Part of me still WISHED of course that they did but it just cant work with the themes and goals of the overarching story
As you said, evil cant *WIN*.
Maybe on paper, but definitely not in the canon
We still have those smaller stories, and thats what counts

Warhammer also in the end has to write itself in a way that is sustainable for a long term.
(actually if you look at their mission statement it does say theyre planning to keep it up *forever*).
So if we'd take e.g the Night Lords and have them curve stomp craftworld after craftworld we (2/3)

nonono you're absolutely fine for that mega yap lol!
Was a very interesting read actually.
If my pen was just a little bit smoother id probably write it myself but I havnt even finished my horror crime story I was working on!
Also begrudgingly I do have to admit that you're right here.

I think my weak Night Lords brain just cannot accept that you're right haha.
Luckily there is a new Night Lords named character apparently but some part of me still wished they had continued that :>

Yeeeah!
I am still surprised they made it out, but also upset they didnt take Decimus' story anywhere???
I guess GW cant kill off a craftworld or sth because at the end they rlly had the strenght to do so ðŸ˜

It is safe to say that I would not be here today if not for the amazing storytelling of the FT team.
Yes theres scuff and only so much possible with a brick on your face, but what these folks have created and told is truly magical
Thank you, so so much for all the memories and I cant wait to be back
