There's no doubt in my mind that MAGA will swiftly coalesce around the idea that bombing Iran is the greatest thing ever. Mainstream news will orgasm and a lot of Democrats will be all for it too. Nothing like a bombing campaign to bring people together.

Do they not know that Trump was convicted? They just playing? I don't get these people.

Don't tamper with any of it is the way.

What stood out to me was that, unlike the typical political reporter, Carlson wasn't asking savvy questions about political calculations and gamesmanship. Instead he was asking basic questions that have real bearing on the importance and consequence of the proposed course of action (airstrikes).

Leftists in real life too. I know some.

COVID hit during his first term. He handled it about as well as one would expect him to, that is, like dog shit.

People (the media) missed the Trump excitement.

The Limey is great. Haven't seen the others. Thanks.

That's what I was thinking. All the ones I've seen have been excellent but not transcendent. Excellent works for me.

Serious question, as I've only seen a handful of his films. Does he have any masterpieces? I haven't seen Sex, Lies and Videotape since it came out -- but maybe that's his opus?

They both pull off that incredibly difficult maneuver in "Fit as a Fiddle" where they're in a squat basically and kicking out one foot at a time. Takes a lot of ass to pull that off.

They sure look like military. Is that the Guard?

Warner has always been super squishy. They're not all like this.

Why are people talking to that raging antisemitic lunatic like they're voicing some reasonable opinion?

Yeah, mine gets that way sometimes when my wife reneges on our scheduled session.

Johnson is smart. He knows that this will trip up the media and they will now be duty bound to report this as a typical Republican vs. Democrat kerfuffle.

The first Terminator, easily. Predator's good though.

Just great. I've had the same look for like 30 years and these fucks are invading... everything.

This is right. If everything is constructed through the "Trump did this; his critics argued that" lens, then Dems need to go on full passionate offense, making the case (every case) loudly and consistently. And they need to bring that fire to every fight.

I live here. It's not even "relative peace." Everyday life is exactly the same as it was a week ago, or a month ago. And I live relatively close to downtown.

Where do you stand, Mr. Harwell? It is not enough to simply communicate that the two camps have differing communication strategies. This is a moral question that would not be difficult or controversial to answer if this were happening in another country.

That's true and it's a concern I share. But this particular concerted reaction by Dems is low on my list of what I see as dereliction of fight on their part.

I hear that. But when these two nincompoops are slinging mud at each other, I don't necessarily think anyone needs to do much of anything, other than what AOC did, ie, call them girls.

Yes, this is what they think. They must disavow it because they're grown-ups. I differ from apparently 100% of Bluesky in that I don't think what the Dems do or say here matters much at all, and I don't think the distancing/disavowals matter either. Most average people tend to disavow this stuff.

No one will lose coverage, gutting USAID will cause no deaths, climate change and covid are both hoaxes, and it's all the fault of the Biden crime family anyway.

Your point, while accurate, is pretty broadly understood. The question, as always, is what the hell do we do about it? The far-reaching structural and constitutional reforms we need will, of course, face the same opposition by the GOP that you remark upon above.
