Friday’s VOA TV broadcast in Farsi is going out right now on a satellite transponder beaming to Iran. It's a repeat of yesterday’s news program because all remaining VOA staff deactivated a few hours ago.

Why, of course! @alternativeto to the rescue – once again!
The top result for alternative to webwormhole is https://pairdrop.net, and it really seems perfect in my testing so far!
It's even FOSS! For some very strange reason it's GPL, not AGPL, but to each dev their own, I guess. Anyways […]

@grammargirl Fads in language is nothing new -- "buzz-words" are a thing. People used to talk about how they saw reality without adding "I feel". Suddenly everybody does this. So, spikes in usage for a population is no reason to suspect AI.

@grammargirl #EngelskeGloser
Englisth -- Norwegian
em-dash = tankestrek.
The norwegian term (thought-line) conveys more meaning, specifying one of the many uses of the em-dash.

@grammargirl I used to be able to find a short-cut for em-dash in LibreOffice, where is it?

@paninid Clearest indication that whatever comes out of RFK jrs. mouth is not based on any sentience inside that skull, but stochastic parroting of "alternative" phantasms.

@hosford42 Thinking some more about Babylon Berlin, the crack-down is a way into the series, so you get to know the main actors (really good drama) . When finally the time comes for our junke policeman hero (with ptsd) to speak up, he can't. And that is totally believable, excusable. It would […]

@hosford42 Watch "Babylon Berlin" . Quite accurately shows how they set the lefties up to take the fall for "violent protests". Also a lot of other stuff. Heroin was Invented by Bayer ... Police firing the shots if none were coming from the protesters.

@Hex Re. edits: Thanks for acting responsibly. Even if no receipts, like someone else said, it takes a conscious effort for them to *not* walk in step.

@dgar Yes, tanks and fighter jets can be subdued.

Though I have to say @dgar 's write-up makes the somewhat subdued air of the event a bit more explicit.

@Crispius What catches my eye here is that "I'm doing it for the publicity" is supposed to be damning. Of course it *is* for publicising how Israel handles aid to Gaza! It's not like that one boat would make a dent in the actual needs. The whole *POINT* is demonstrating how over-the-top Israeli […]

They just did not do their homework on this one.
Projection of an image of strength is what fascism lives or dies by, and to come out of LA looking strong, they will need to be able to make a passingly credible claim to victory there.
And I don't see how they get that.

@aj We need environmental regulations for the net. Cyber-units who go after polluters and shut them down at the source. Heavy fines.
