When we visited, my MIL would give my kids cake for breakfast and declare it breakfast food bc it had eggs in it. I adored her and the kids loved the cake and their grandma's naughty ways.

Ventura, CA, a mission city, remembers the Chinese people who lived and worked there with a mural in downtown. Part of the history of the city is the Chinese had to form their own fire department bc the white residents/fire department would not respond to fire in the Chinese sector.
