@taxjusticeuk.bsky.social may beg to differ. There are lots of other ways as well eg online gambling tax.

Unless you find one who’s prepared to tax the super rich and impose excess profits taxes on big businesses

Reeves has to go. She’s one of the biggest problems. A Tory chancellor in a @uklabour.bsky.social govt

Some hotels in Cyprus allow you to reserve sunbeds for the week so there’s none of this nonsense. There’s also a system whereby if one becomes available in a better spot (as people leave) you can change. This has operated well for years. All hotels should do it 🤷‍♂️

Why are we giving these people any airtime? 🤷‍♂️

So what has happened to all the millions of pounds raised by Water Aid across the world over the last 40 years? 🤷‍♂️

Bring it on @uklabour.bsky.social

Disgraceful. @uklabour.bsky.social should be sorting this out

Tell them to shove it

Totally agree. It would also allow them to move Michael Keane on and save his ludicrous salary

Alan Ball told me to “sling my hook” at a Widnes RL game. Still love him though 💙

Let’s call it a better more passionate communicator then 🙂
comment in response to post
Yes very good, but I can’t help thinking we need a “populist left” leader who can express, with a passion, the desire to improve the lives of ordinary people and massively reduce wealth inequality. I don’t see that in Starmer or any of his potential successors sadly

I can’t see how anyone could possibly object to this unless you’re a selfish, super wealthy, greedy kind of person
comment in response to post
Yes but that’s a longer term issue. Small monthly changes up or down are irrelevant in the bigger picture
comment in response to post
Is the Westminster bubble going to continue to obsess over minuscule monthly changes in macroeconomic figures? I just don’t see the point. It’s meaningless to most people 🤷‍♂️

Drinks to excess and snorts cocajne while with his family. What a disgraceful society we now live in
comment in response to post
The “cost of things” is the big issue. There was a debate on @lbc.co.uk the other day about the winter fuel allowance when in fact it’s the rip off price of energy that’s the problem and which needs addressing 🤷‍♂️

Great article. Sadly just confirms what a sad crazy world we live in
comment in response to post
The whole scenario is unbelievable but as @garyseconomics.bsky.social says. The super rich have all the money which they spend on “assets”. The people and the Govt have no money and have to rent everything from them. How did it come to this 🤦🏻
comment in response to post
This is the problem when ministers are expected to comment on issues outside their brief. They shouldn’t say anything
comment in response to post
The wealthy are hoovering up all the assets. The people and Govts have nothing anymore. This will only get worse
comment in response to post
I wouldn’t blame him tbh. He’s given everything for Utd since he’s been there under sure circumstances. He must be physically and mentally exhausted
comment in response to post
Really? Well try taxing the mega rich to make it happen then 🤷‍♂️

By the way. Match of the Day has gone from a must watch to a don’t care. Hardly show any football and have an array of pundits talking absolute shite for most of the programme. Hardly ever watch it now 🤷‍♂️
