It makes me think of how people say something is ā€œsickā€ in a positive way:0

I know this is all disjointed, but Iā€™ve had a lot of thoughts about community and figured Iā€™d ramble. Please forgive me if any point is messy, Iā€™m just ramblingšŸ˜ (7/7)

Like whenā€™s the last time you invited a group of people to do something that doesnā€™t require you to feed into consumerism either? All these gal-entines dates and things require people to shop for supplies. Friendship has become something that has to be shopped for instead of just chilling (6/?)

Itā€™s not that these straight people actually want to be gay (unless they do and thatā€™s swag too, but then they arenā€™t straight lmao) but itā€™s also the lack of community! Itā€™s not built in! And people blame the lack of third spaces, but they also donā€™t leave their houses and shop online/retail (5/?)

Anyway, this is part of my theory why so many straight people tend to want to be gay. (IM GAY, I JUST KNOW A LOT OF STRAIGHT PEOPLE WHO HAVE SAID THEY WISH THEY WERE GAY) But itā€™s because queer and POC people tend to inherently have to learn how to build communities. (4/?)

Donā€™t get me wrong, I think we all deserve fair treatment, but Iā€™m tired of seeing posts where people cut off friends or reject them because the friend needed a favor and thatā€™s ā€œtoo much.ā€ (To be clear, this is different than cutting off a person because theyā€™re genuinely unhealthy.)(3/?)

I say this because Iā€™ve been thinking about community a lot lately and how gen z doesnā€™t seem to have much community and I think thereā€™s something to say about how we tend to cradle ourselves. (2/?)
