Seems there were plans to launch Fireman Sam in the US in the mid 90's. There's talk of a 30 minute pilot here, which presumably would have been redubbed footage from the UK version. A surprisingly big name was lined up to voice Sam too... (Bristol Evening Post, 14th June 1994)
