I'm like that with the Star War. I've seen only seen the first one of the original trilogy but I know the gist of the rest from the million parodies I've seen.

The first half of Season 1 is actually kinda bad. The dialogue is very geared to kids. The episodes often end in an explicit lesson. It sets up some important world building, but the show doesn't really find it's legs until Season 2.

The theory that they keep testing the gameplay, and people don't like it, so then they have to modify the kit, but that makes it so they need to redesign the entire map to make the puzzles work, makes a lot of sense to me.
