Even more unpopular opinion: the acute antipathy to public conversation, as evidenced buy the insane overreaction to this anodyne post, and the society-wide lack of empathy that has fueled the spread of fascism are not unrelated

They’re deranged. They’re utterly, completely, unhinged beyond the point of sanity.

love reading a 12 year old girl in 1911 write a mech pilot tweet in her diary abt the experience of driving an automobile

The article is cagey with the details, but if what he did actually motivated the British police to act to protect a trans person then it must have been REALLY bad

Biologically male this Biologically female that How bout you biologically fuck off

Time is of the essence and we need to fight the EHRC interim guidance before it becomes statutory and Parliament make it law. Don’t just shout about it, write to them. Also tell the media, if you can get them to care. I’ve posted this on Instagram. Speak to your unions and staff networks at work

The 21st century has been a relentlessly hateful stampede towards more cruel, more stupid, more dishonest, openly corrupt and hateful politics, with these swine relentlessly straining to make it worse. You *have to* tell these awful, horrible people to go fuck themselves. If not now, then when?

(political party only prevented from going Falling Down mode by a constant supply of cheap disposable goods voice) we must disrupt the supply of cheap disposable goods to ensure American prosperity

New interim guidance from the UK "Equality and Human Rights Commission." Trans people are effectively banned from all bathrooms. www.equalityhumanrights.com/media-centre...

But have you tried fucking off? -Me, as a therapist.

“Many of the most powerful people in our country are part of a doomsday cult that wants to create an artificial god and render humanity obsolete” makes you sound insane but it is literally true.

“surely the british aristocracy isn’t *that* weird, insular, fetishistically violent and proudly repulsive?” people sometimes say to me when they read dorley

Yes. In a sane media environment, the bathroom ban would be the end of anyone treating 'gender critical feminists' as anything other than a hate group. It's a straightforwardly bigoted policy that imposes an insane 'solution' to a nonexistent problem.

The EHRC guidance isn't just aggressively anti-trans, it's also actively authoritarian and openly anti-LGBTQ+, attempting to break LGBTQ+ freedom of association. Any government that does not resist it will be complicit in the most significant shift to social conservatism we've seen in decades.

I'm not a public servant myself, but I'd like to think that if I were, my response to "we are in danger, your team are putting us in that danger, you need to help us" wouldn't be "what's the magic word?"

If you want to know how serious our decline in the UK, when North Carolina did what the Labour Government and EHRC have done, the then UK Government told LGBT+ people to beware travelling there. (Credit to @kazhawa.bsky.social.) www.voanews.com/amp/uk-issue...

A reminder to ban Labour from Pride

They have officially banned trans women from playing Pool in the UK The organisation in charge of the decision cited the recent supreme court ruling, which didn't actually rule on this at all The true level of anti-trans insanity in the UK, fully supported by all major political parties

Now would be a really good time for cis allies to start wearing trans pride badges and make it even more impossible for the toilet police to determine who is and isn’t trans

We are entering the Nazi era of British politics. The fact that someone whose job it is to protect human rights considers 300,000 people not human at all should scare everyone. If you are not trans but not white , male and straight then you are next.

“You can’t just call yourself a woman,” say anti-human rights activists that just call themselves the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

no, they know exactly what they’re doing. the point is to force trans people out of public life

‼️The UK Equality and Human Rights Commission has announced their provisional rules for bathrooms. Trans people are now BANNED from using the bathroom matching their gender. It also permits banning trans people from the bathroom matching their birth sex IF a single stall bathroom is provided.

"I was appointed to the EHRC to persecute trannies and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of gum. Also, can we add to the guidance that the trannies aren't allowed gum? They didn't have any at the shop and I think it's their fault."

"No trans person is allowed within thirty metres of me. Additionally, they should have to give me money."

What they're demanding are basic human rights, you patronizing knob.

a) It's trans *people*. b) You're an MP. You're supposed to represent your constituents, which includes trans people. It's not something extra that you can choose to do, though I will grant that most of your colleagues choose not to. c) That MP salary is your thanks.

I made a site today that lets you compare the net worth of billionaires and corporations to the GDP of entire countries. Check it out. I want to raise awareness of the scale. There are many people - and tons of companies - with more wealth than the annual economic output of individual EU nations

Democratic members of Congress should probably be made to understand that unless they throw everything they have at this, they are next.

Because everything is gender, I've been workshopping an idea: traditionally, Dems were the Mom Party and Republicans the Dad Party. But now that the Dad Party is blowing our money on crypto, into weird podcasts, and generally unhinged, Dems need to become the Single Mom Party

Not kidding! I watched TERF rhetoric evolve over the years, like this: - Sex is genitals! > changeable - Sex is hormones/brain/etc! > changeable - Chromosomes! > they're quite complicated. So.. 32 sexes? - Gametes! > Can be absent/combined. Four sexes? - Uhhhh... "intended" gametes! > we are here!

Keir Starmer...Meal Deals...Big Tesco...Harry Potter... You bolt awake on white cliffs by the sea. Saxon longships dot the horizon all the way to Gaul. You pull the sword from the stone. The year is 531 A.D. and you've changed your mind. These ships must burn. The future must not come to pass.

seen a sentiment from a few people now expressing or implying a desire to transition but feeling unable due to the current political climate. while fear of the future is completely reasonable, waiting for a "good time to transition" will waste your life. it will never not feel scary at first

Gender-Conservative and trans-eradicationist ideology has utterly captured the British political class and must be combatted at every level.

"The government’s planning and infrastructure bill is the worst assault on England’s ecosystems in living memory. It erases decades of environmental protections, including legislation we inherited from the EU, which even the Tories promised to uphold." www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

cis people, by and large, don't know shit about what's coming

have any of these big mainstream outlets that obsess about the evils of "cancel culture"—the Atlantic, the NYT, New York, etc.— published anyone at all with the contrary position? like, a piece saying, "this cancel culture panic was obviously horseshit and has led to a terrifying fascist takeover."

LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Everyone go read Isaac NOW

The problem she's gesturing at is how we so often end up being oppressed as women, with bigots treating us like women (and thus badly), and then allies going "sure you're a woman, guy, wear whatever you want!" It amounts to plausibly deniable collective gaslighting that puts trans women in danger
