The only prediction I feel confident about what they'll do is "too much," which is as unhelpful as it is brief.

If by people, they mean wealthy donators, then sure. I don't think they consider us people in the first place.

Content warning: blood, serious head injury. A woman was run down and trampled and clubbed by LAPD officers on horseback. She appears to be seriously injured and bleeding from the head as an officer drags her limp body along the pavement.

They have left with no further incident, this time.

The cops pushed protestors off the federal building, but they've made the situation worse overall because the protestors have spread out in response and are blocking two main streets (Alameda and Temple) and the entire 101 S freeway.
There is basically no way for cops to stop this at this point.

LAPD is driving through a protestor now who was in front of the car

Appreciate the elaboration. It's been quite a few long years since I last read ROT3K and I've forgotten most of it at this point, with a lot of the pop cultural interpretations replacing what little I would otherwise recall.

Ah, tantamount to a bastard son working a commoner's job, begrudgingly given respect as a matter of saving face.

Is that so? I'm fairly confident that Liu Bei was a descendant of Emperor Jing. Like he wasn't nobility, but he also commanded enough familial clout to be able to ascent above rank and file soldiers on name alone during the Yellow Turban Rebellion, leading a contingent of men under Yuan Shao.

Tell me how many community support structures are allowed to remain standing in Gaza after the constant bombing. Tell me how many Palestinian children you've financially supported.
Or don't. The answer is the same. And that's also how much respect I have for your shitty attempt at a gotcha.

It is very admirable that someone so young has come to realize that the most powerful thing they can do with their international profile is to put themselves in a position where someone doing the wrong thing either has to do the right thing or kill them.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you that Malcolm X's Black Panthers strengthen the appeal of MLK Jr.'s peaceful alternative to White Americans.

The answer really comes down, on an individual level, to what the opposing parties with common goals are willing to tolerate or compromise on. At the same time, it's easy to disavow the actions of a violent paramilitary faction with similar goals while relying on their power for negotiations.

That hesitancy that you struggle with is the reason why Zhuge is not your ally, if that helps you to understand.

To put a fine point on it, would you consider Elias Rodriguez to be an ally after the shooting of two Israeli embassy workers?

I think you're being a bit naive in your understanding. To be broad, some people are violently opposed to Israel, and some people are non-violently opposed to Israel. They have similar end goals, but the means to achieve them are not compatible. And that says nothing to what either side will ignore.

I would define it as having common goals, likely with opposing ideologies and methods.

Having mutual enemies does not make one allies, and the idea that all opposed to Israel's genocide will agree on anything, from how to best oppose it, to how to best support Palestinians, to what to do to get more allies, is... idealistic, to put it nicely.

The problem is that she still supports the idea that Israel's "defense" is America's obligation.
Extra context does not change, diminish, or rationalize that fact.

Well America is failing in the responsibility she mentions, and empty words fall on deaf ears.
