My rational brain knew it would be nothing to be anxious about (and it’s not). My trauma from that first manager spiked my adrenaline and sent me into a physical panic anyway.

How do you find these houses?

Well that took me back 20+ years to days spent at Junior Yearly Meeting and Young Women’s Weekends! You could tell who understood it because they started gossiping and chatting, just like we used to.

Has Wally tried veg? Our spaniels used to adore fruit and veg. Scrumping fallen fruit in the garden and nommimg veggies we hadn’t finished were favourite activities.

If you liked Monument Valley, try the Last Campfire.

The way to do the cuffs and bottom hem is to have the whole hoodie inside the layers and pull it through. Looks awful before looking perfect. I’ve never seen it done like that before - leaves you only 6” to sew by hand (which I still need to do). Hood was fine.

It’s easy to print out and easy to follow. I didn’t do the stretchy cuffs. Do follow the directions - it’s a head-scratcher but does work.

It is! Sadly the nap doesn’t go in the right directions but I was working with minimal fabric. And that won’t impact on keeping him warm…

Yes, it is intentionally way bigger than he is so that there’s space for many years to come. I’m not sewing with fleece again any time soon.

Apparently his actual archive is in Vienna and this was related family material and printed sheet music. Still awful but not quite as bad as it sounds.

Now attempting to feed a very excited 5yo some pasta to counteract all of the sweet traditional Christmas treats consumed during the session… sugar crash incoming!

And far more dramatic, by the sound of it! What was it, out of interest, if you happen to remember?

It does occasionally happen, I grant you that. At work, for example, researchers listened to a digitised record of something and found a partial interview about something else completely tacked on the end, which had been missed by the cataloguing archivist. It’s just rather unusual.

“Newly-discovered will” - probably “discovered” neatly catalogued and packaged up in an archive by archivists. Happy to be told otherwise but this is what is usually meant…

Yes, exactly. Third roofer coming tomorrow to do our usual three quotations and then we’ll choose.

2 sets of roofers have visited, hummed and ha’ed, agreed on what needs to be done, and come back with two quotations within £100 of each other. ££. 😢 Can be fixed early next week. Yay.

Exactly! I hadn’t noticed our son’s first term going past so quickly. I’ve been holding onto leave/TOIL in case of sickness, etc. and it now needs using up. Result: no more Thursdays and only one more Friday for the rest of the year.

It did hold but developed a hole around a vent pipe… 😢

There are various simple cakes that once baked, you poke small holes into and soak with a syrup. Can find the recipes if you’re interested.

Whole gig was amazing. Sadly we had to leave before the end to get back for the babysitter - they were still going 1.25hrs after starting.
