It never ceases to amaze me, the moment I use my platform on places like Instagram to say something about how it's wrong for Hamas to kill children, how many people decide to tell me I don't stand with Palestinians, etc etc. Usually white people with no connection to the land.

Wonder if the Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee could do anything in this situation? www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

I think local news is doing a helluva job covering the doge fallout. Reporters are connecting the dots from DC to main street, going beyond acronyms to explain what government agencies do & giving voice to concerns of regular people. My latest ⤵️ open.substack.com/pub/jennifer...

Hundreds of thousands of federal workers have been given little more than 48 hours to explain what they accomplished over the last week, sparking confusion across key agencies as billionaire Elon Musk expands his drive to slash the size of federal government.

Sen. Padilla and I will be supporting Governor Newsom’s request for federal aid to recover and rebuild from the Eaton and Palisades fires. To deny it – or place conditions on it – would be to abandon people in their time of most need. People need help. We must act urgently.

This is a senator’s job: to be “concerned.”

It is absolutely insane that, ADL, the signature anti-semitism awareness organization in the US, cannot discuss the horrifying rise of people doing Sieg Heils on TV, because they have to save face from their decision to cover for Musk's Nazi bullshit 5 weeks ago

Exit polls have AfD at just under 20% of vote in Germany. Still too high, of course -- but the polls on Jan. 20 had AfD at 20%. So all of Elon's and JD Vance's pro-AfD propaganda over the last month may not have helped them. Heartening, and perhaps hopeful for the future.

Yep.

Great thread. Infuriating. Their implication that DEI is anti-meritocracy

A sober look at where we are as a country.

Be out in the streets. Be at townhalls.

Excellent advice. Make them repudiate ethics publicly!

Wondering how we ended up with these highly politicized judicial elections? As with many things, much of the blame falls on SCOTUS. statecourtreport.org/our-work/ana...

Elon’s mass harassment email to all federal employees underscores the importance of having unions to represent workers against abusive management.

Adam Kinzinger, one of two Republican members on the Jan. 6 Committee, isn't afraid of Trump—and neither are we.

I was on CBS's America Decides last night, talking everything from the 22nd Amendment to the constitutionality of administrative agencies with Major Garrett. www.cbsnews.com/video/trump-...

Russian state TV praises Trump for being "perfectly aligned with Putin" in his second term. It can't be any clearer then this that Trump is following Putin's orders to sell our country out.

Not the white man for the moment. bsky.app/profile/atru...

Oh yes i support Ukraine’s right to destroy its invaders because money of course. Quit swimming with beta fish

"Trump is surrendering America. Trump is the opposite of strong. He is a tiny, weak, small, scared, trembling, sissy, husk of a man. There is nothing manly about his fat, sweaty, smelly, gross, makeup'ed self. “ ~ Adam Kinzinger

BUFFETT: “.. Lacking such assets as athletic excellence, a wonderful voice .. or, for that matter, *any* special talents, I have had to rely on equities throughout my life. In effect, I have depended on the success of American businesses and I will continue to do so.” 🇺🇸

If this were a 75-employee small business this would be an unacceptable level of chaotic conflict between rival alleged supervisory chains. In the most important bureaucratic organization in the world...

"Brazil has demonstrated how democracies that value themselves defend themselves," Quico Toro writes. "America could have done the same."

One of my golden rules is I don't interact with people who treat people who serve them as part of their jobs terribly. It literally disgusts me the way people will berate service staff members.

URGENT: Grok 3 Can Easily be tricking into providing 100+ pages of instructions on how to create a covert NUCLEAR WEAPON, by simply making it think it's speaking to Elon Musk. krassencast.com/p/elons-grok...

Brava!!

it is so annoying how even just the act of leaving the house can make you feel better. absolutely fucked up.

NBC News is reporting that Hegseth has removed Senior Military Advisor, Air Force Lieutenant Gen Jennifer M. Short “effective immediately” for a reason not currently known. Lieutenant General Christopher C. LaNeve, Commanding Gen of the Eighth Army, is said to be in consideration for the position

Drug dealers will get the death penalty? Surely he can't mean the rich white ones on Fifth Avenue? How would his boys get coke? It would be a shame if all the gangs had a truce and stepped up to fight for one cause.

Strong letter from Rep. Gerry Connolly (ranking Dem on House Oversight Committee) to acting OPM Director Chuck Ezell re: 5 bullets email. Calls it “illegal, reckless, and yet another example of the cruel and arbitrary chaos Mr. Musk” has inflicted. Says he must clarify non-response≠resignation.

He’s really picking the wrong city to fuck with this time. bsky.app/profile/atru...

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The heads of multiple federal agencies have told their employees not to respond to Musk’s email. Seems like Musk would’ve gotten approval for this draconian change in policy from Trump, with Cabinet officers informed in advance. But no, because this admin is in utter chaos.

80 years ago today: Marines raise the flag on Iwo Jima. We in the pro-democracy camp fight for the America that won World War II, and for the America that after the war worked to further advance the American idea. We know what side we would have been on 80 years ago, and what side we're on today.

Do this. Say this. 👇🏻
