Friend of mine just got a quote to install a single-head mini split. Came out to $5,000. I can purchase the equipment needed for their job for $800 shipped. HVAC companies need to quickly stop this shit or more and more people will DIY it. Already DIY mini-splits are showing up in big box stores.
