Why would Ukraine, after being invaded & fighting for 3 yrs, need pressure to accept peace? Only if this peace is unjust/a surrender.
I'll be guided by them. They were the ones who were attacked. Their cities were turned to dust.
Only when it's good enough for them, is it good enough for me.

Politicians have a tragic lack of ambition to actually change the economy to one that takes care of ordinary people.
The crumbling welfare state & visible inequality is being exploited by the far right to present migrants as a scapegoat.

It's worse than that. They don't care whether Putin respects the deal or not in respect of what would be left of Ukraine, providing he didn't interfere with US mineral extraction.

Well, of course the basic overall outcome of the meeting would have been even worse if Zelensky had let it all happen and had then signed a minerals deal.
